Francis Chan Didn't Fall; He's Always Been a False Teacher and Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing

Updated: Feb 17

Everything about Francis Chan screams theatrics, and aberrant expressions of Christianity, whether that be his history as an author, teacher, or as preacher, including his former position of "teaching pastor" (whatever that is) of the heretical, neo-evangelical, rocking out, pot-pourri of Calvinistic, Charismatic, nondenominational emerging Cornerstone Community neo-evangelical Church of Simi Valley, California founded by Chan in 1994, or the so-called Eternity Bible College he founded in 2004, or the boards he has been a member of, including so-called Christian and social justice organizations such as Children's Hunger Fund and Gospel for Asia, both of which are unBiblical, ungodly and worldly organizations. At best, I mean at very best, he is an entertainer. Since he uses God's Word and Christianity to entertain, he is a blasphemous entertainer.

Chan admits that when he "landed a youth pastor position" (again, whatever that is, since the position is given no credibility in God's Word) at an unbiblical, neo-evangelical "church" called Church at Rocky Peak, which occurred after finishing his indoctrination at Masters Seminary, that "Those were the worst years of my life . . . a sinful, hypocritical time." (source). Well the Bible is pretty clear that those who continue in sin and hypocrisy are unsaved hypocrites (Rom 6:1-22; Ti 2:11-14; Jn 8:31-36 -- and hypocrites are always unregenerate according to Scripture), and what he has given as a "testimony of salvation," is unscriptural on its own, not anything like the doctrine of salvation in God's Word. Kudos however for the honesty but it comes as no shock, considering the unbiblical position he was in, the corrupted indoctrination he had just received, and the absolute awfully heretical and apostate "church" he was part of. Unfortunately, and tragically, rather than realizing these things and the clear fact that he was a false "believer" who had just been heavily indoctrinated even further into his hypocritical and deceptive conformist state by Masters, all laying the foundation for his future popularity (Lk 6:26), Chan left the "pastoral" position for a job at a restaurant, waiting tables. It is also unfortunate that he didn't keep waiting tables instead of being a cause of masses led down the broad path of destruction and eternal hell fire.

When Francis Chan started promoting a truck load of heresy, or himself as a little god, or an endless stream of false teachers and heretics, including Mike Bickle whom he compared to Jesus Christ, or reported to have healed an entire village, or was embracing Charismatic and Roman Catholic heresies, and more, Chan wasn't appearing as one that had "fallen away" as neo-evangelicals, Reformed Calvinists (and others) will commonly parrot in their zeal to silence their compromising and ecumenical non-discerning conscience, but rather the simple fact that he was a false teacher and wolf in sheep's clothing, and had always been one. The wolf doesn't come garbed in wolf's attire, but appears as a harmless sheep, but the true sheep of God can see, smell and perceive the wolf as they note his corrupt fruit (concerning error, false doctrine, corruption and wresting of Scripture, sin, love of the world-worldliness, etc), since they don't follow the voice of strangers but only that of their Shepherd (Jn 10:1-5). Hence the warning of Christ in Matt 7:15ff.,

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."

This is why we here at 20/20 expose what many would coin as "minute" and "minor" things (as if there is anything small or insignificant in God's Word), because, not only does a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump (1 Cor 5:6; Gal 5:9), it also reveals whether someone's allegiance is actually to Scripture, and whether they have the heart of a saint that desires to obey God's Word. (And nothing about false doctrine, tolerating error or sin, worldliness, corruption of Scripture, is minor or ambiguous). Every false teacher and wolf starts off small. He attempts to appear as normal as possible, which sometimes may be unwittingly so, having deceived himself to be something that he's not. But as time trucks on, the hours speak to the years and before you know it the guy with "minute" and "minor" error exposes his true colours of heretic and wolf in sheep's clothing. The more popular he becomes, the more compromising he becomes, and the more his true colours start to shine, even as Scripture warns (e.g. 2 Tim 3:13), but the colours were actually always bright, for those who have eyes to see and quickened ears to hear and a circumcised heart to understand.

So Francis Chan exhibits as a fairly run of the mill neo-evangelical and charismatic heretic, but mixed into that, he is also a reformed Calvinist graduate of John MacArthurs Masters College and Seminary, thereby mixing other types of unbiblical heresy into his potpourri of error and sin.

The latter point is also important in all this, an argument we've made here at 20/20 for a long time now — Reformed Calvinist institutions producing heretics because it is a school of heresy, reporting on it here and here and here (and many more under the heading "Calvinism and Reformed Theology"). Heresy begets heretics. They have produced many men just like Chan. Masters might argue, 'we don’t agree with some of the heresies of Chan.' Yet they are contributors to his heresy because of their own heretical doctrines, errors and sinful hypocrisy. But that’s not even the point. Why was Chan there to begin with. No, he has not "derailed," or "fallen away" or some other convenient excuse for their lack of discernment and compromise! Chan was a false teacher before he ever became popular, because heretics are heretics long before they ever hit the spotlight (its also a trajectory to popularity: Lk 6:26), and it's really not that difficult to discern either, especially if you have entrance requirements and are truly interested in knowing whether your students are indeed born again and what they believe (what would be considered common Biblical sense for a professing Christian institution).

I digress momentarily. The reason why heretics are entertained or grown at places like Masters Seminary are manifold and include the following: love of money; man-centredness; lack of discernment; rejection of separation; ecumenicalism; toleration of false doctrine through a number of ways including the heresy of dividing scripture into "essentials and non-essentials"; embracement of ungodly and worldly music (i.e. "Christian" rock); hypocrisy concerning a number of things including worldliness and music; rejection of Gods perfectly preserved Word as found in the Received Text and supporting of ungodly and blasphemous attacks on God and His Word as found in the modern English perversions and Textual Criticism; non-dogmatism except for when it comes to heresy like the Calvinist TULIP or a corrupted version of God's sovereignty; toleration and warm acceptance of false professing “Christian’s”; inability to exercise true discernment, that is (which comes with the Holy Spirit, Heb 5:14, 1 Cor 2:15, thus present in all true believers), unable to discern and test between truth and subtle error, or detect error and sin beyond grotesque error and gross immorality; and many other unBiblical and egregious teachings and practices — all of which keeps counterfeit "believers"/ "disciples"and spiritual reprobates of the kind warned of in 2 Tim 3:5-9 and 4:3-4, that will be abundantly present in these last days, as precisely that.

Outside of academics, picking up Chan's heretical books and reading a few pages, or listening to mere minutes of a sermon, is more than enough to perceive the horrible Scripture perversion, confusion and utter heresy of this wolf. But herein lies a very big problem in the land of Reformed Calvinism and Evangelicalism. Most really don't know what true salvation actually is, having personally embraced a counterfeit version and lie, and thus lack any credible Biblical discernment, seeing that true, deep, proper spiritual discernment is available only to those who have the indwelling Spirit of God.

Francis Chan and Christianity are an oxymoron.

Though Chan is very clearly a false teacher, a wolf in sheep's clothing, proven beyond any reasonable doubt not only below but by others as well, this still doesn’t stop majority of “evangelicals” groups from embracing him, including denominations such as Evangelical Bergthaler Mennonite Conference (EBMC) and Evangelical Mennonite Conference (EMC), both out of Canada, whom warmly and openly embrace this dangerous ecumenical heretic and eagerly read his dangerous unscriptural material, even using his books as "Bible studies" in their churches! (E.g., his book Love Wins for a ladies Bible study course). Just. Wow. Important things like this prove virtually on its own that majority are unsaved in evangelicalism, since all truly born again people have that divine element of the new birth and reception of the indwelling Holy Spirit called spiritual discernment which eludes all unsaved, false professors, regardless of their "religiosity" or "spirituality." Not only do they lack this incredibly important function and mark of the true believer, they will also ignore and dismiss discernment and warnings in general and reject any form of critical engagement in these sort of things, a topic that takes up more of the N.T. than other subject.

With that said and without further ado, let us give a few points that demonstrate Chan's wolf and false teacher nature.

1. Chan’s Satanic blasphemy marks him as a false teacher.

Chan's embraces the "Little gods" doctrine. In this linked video (no endorsement of video source), without even addressing the freaked out look on Chan's face and the weird and wacky theatrics, he claims he is both God and man. Receiving God the Spirit for born again believers is not "us now" being God manifest in the flesh, as Chan claims. Jesus was God manifest in the flesh, not us, ever. This is Satanic blasphemy and alone proves that Francis Chan is nothing less than an evil heretic, blasphemer, and wolf in sheep's clothing that doesn't have the foggiest clue about salvation or the truth of Scripture.

In another episode of Chan's, prior to the sexual scandal of the IHOP heretic, blasphemer, idolater, master manipulator and intimidator Mike Bickle coming to light, Chan compared Bickle to the Lord Jesus Christ. Betraying Mike Bickle, according to Chan, is like betraying Jesus Christ. Again, utterly blasphemous.

Though this point alone proves beyond any reasonable doubt that he is a wolf in sheep's clothing, this is far away from being the only major problem with Francis Chan.

2. Chan’s continuationism and charismaticism/healing marks him as a false teacher.

Charismaticism is continuationism, and both are equally unscriptural and bad. The Bible clearly teaches cessationism but Francis doesn't seem to believe the Bible. Every single so-called "Christian" that embraces continuationism is a false teacher, bar none. Not a single one of them has ever been born again, and they masquerade as sheep while inwardly, ravening wolves.

Francis Chan claims he has the power to heal and perform miracles. Chan, the great faith healer. In February of 2020, he claimed to have healed an entire village in Myanmar (Burma) in his faith touching powwow, by the laying on of hands.

“Every person I touched was healed.”

This is a rather audacious claim by Francis Chan for which he doesn't even provide any evidence, although he points out that this was not the norm for his (destructive) "missionary" work overseas. Nothing of sufficient or credible evidence has ever been proven by Chan, so the verdict concludes he also a liar.

Of course he is, false teachers are always liars. Healing was a sign of an apostle and those signs passed away twenty centuries ago.

Healing is one of the nine gifts of the Spirit found in 1 Cor 12. The Bible is very clear that the sign gifts were signs of an Apostle, and would pass away with the passing of the Apostles. 2 Cor 12:12 makes this distinction clear:

“Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds”.

We are not saying that miracles have ceased. The sign gifts have ceased. These are different and things that are different are not the same. There is nothing in Scripture to cause us to think that miracles ceased in the 1st century. I have both personally experienced and witnessed divine healing through prayer. I have witnessed great miracles, most importantly that of true supernatural and dramatic conversion. There is no greater miracle than this where an ungodly sinner is made into a new born again believer and child of God, in the twinkling of an eye, translated from the kingdom of Satans darkness into the kingdom of God's dear Son, the kingdom of light. But the apostolic sign miracles and revelatory gifts, by their very nature, were unique and temporary. Otherwise they could not have been a sign. If anyone in church history other than the apostles (and by extension in a few cases, those with whom they were closely associated and upon whom they laid hands, some of the early true believers) could perform apostolic sign miracles, then the sign of an apostle would be destroyed. The miracle signs were performed by the apostles (Mk. 3:13-14; Ac. 2:43; 3:6-8; 4:33; 5:12, 15; 9:40-41; 19:12; 28:3-9). If believers in general could have performed sign miracles such as healing, even in the first century, the brethren at Joppa would not have called for Peter to come and raise Dorcas from the dead (Ac. 9:36-42). Peter’s miracle that day was the “sign of an apostle.” Or for Peter and John to pray for the believers at Samaria to receive the Holy Spirit (Ac. 8:14-16). Not to make this distinction in the plainest manner will lead to confusion and spiritual peril in these deceitful and apostate end times, and such we see everywhere in evangelical ministries including that of Francis Chan.

Chan also claims he can speak in tongues. What he and other Charismatic heretics call tongues speaking is far removed from God's Word. Its actually Satanic gibberish, and in the following article we cover How we Know Modern “Tongue Speaking” is Unbiblical, and Satanic Deception.

Since he embraces continuationism, it is unsurprising that he aligns and associates with the apostate New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) movement. NAR, for those unfamiliar, is basically an unScriptural movement found largely within charismatic/pentecostal churches that contends that the office of Apostle — like the original 12 — has been reinstated and Apostles and Prophets exist today, and thus churches are to be led by Apostles, and therefore retain the characteristics of a NT Apostle: supernatural signs and abilities, and new revelations from God. Chan praises men that believe this. But this is extremely heretical and unBiblical. Even in the day of the 12 Apostles, the sign gifts were limited to these Apostles (2 Cor 12:12). In some sense, NT Apostles were very similar to OT Prophets, however they continually performed sign gifts that many OT prophets could not do (raising the dead, healing the sick, etc), but its the qualifications for an Apostle that sets the twelve (thirteen when you include Paul, who was one born out of due time, a special apostle but not of the twelve) aside: they were required to have always laboured with the Lord Jesus during His ministry, from the baptism of John unto Christ's ascension and having also been a physical witness to His resurrection and post-resurrection (Ac 1:21-22). Furthermore, there are no more no new revelations from God. The Apostles penned the inspired words of God, while these false prophets have never documented anything inspired except from that of Satan. God has completed the canonization of Scripture nearly 2,000 years ago. It is closed. There are no more Prophets or Apostles. Period. Anyone that adds or takes away from Scripture, as these heretics are doing, has the condemnation and curse of Rev 22:18-19 on their heads. That includes you that embraces these heretics. This is really about as simple as Biblical Christianity can get, but false teachers and prophets do not and will not submit and surrender themselves to the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Pet 2:1-3, 12-22) because they want to be Him. They are not satisfied or content being a servant and bondslave; No, these "liars, evil beasts, slow bellies" (Ti 1:12) really want to usurp the throne that the Lord God Almighty sits on, just like Lucifer, their father, the devil, attempted to do. I wonder if they've never read the memo that it won't turn out very well for them.

3. Chan’s ecumenicalism and man-centredness marks him as a false teacher.

Ecumenicalism encompasses Francis Chan’s associations with false teachers and those outside the bounds of Christianity. The list of prominent associations with false teachers that Francis Chan has, or sent praises towards, is massive. It must be emphasized that Chan is not merely associating with false teachers to preach to them the truth, to reprove them as Scripture commands repeatedly (e.g. Ti 1:12). He doesn't do that at all because criticism apparently is not of God, says chum Chan. This is also not comparable to Jesus associating with the Pharisees, so He could preach to them. And preach did He ever, severely railing against them and condemning them and calling them many "harsh" adjectives that relate to unsaved, ungodly, and evil hypocrites (see Matt 23 for instance). God's Word commands exposing and separating from false teaches (e.g. Rom 16:17), not associating with them!

Ecumenicalism here is not simply meant by Francis Chan’s embrace of other religions but his embrace of those who preach a false gospel and other false doctrine. Ecumenicalism is that partnership in fulfilling some alleged Biblical purposes such as the Great Commission (which is typically corrupted as well by these), but its unwise, sinful and heretical when two parties have substantially different meanings of what making disciples entails or what obedience to Scripture means, etc.

As already noted, the false prophet Mike Bickle of IHOP and NAR heresy and a prominent figure in the charismatic and false prophecy movement, is closely associated with Chan, whose been invited to speak at his One Thing hyper-sensual and emotional stimuli, heretical conference on multiple occasions at his IHOPKC "church," alongside ungodly heretics and false teachers such as Todd White, Michael Brown, and Joyce Meyer, who are absolutely loaded with trucks loads of error, sin, worldliness, heresy (such as fraudulent "faith healing," "Word of Faith" heresy, “little God” blasphemy), perverted gospels, unfruitful works of darkness, ecumenicalism, Charimastic and apostolic heresies, Catholicism friendliness, and blasphemies, in a brief list.

Speaking in this wolfs "church" conferences numerously and giving him glowing accolades, and really being Bickle’s number one promotor and garbage bin for the last several years, really reflects how heretical and emotion/sensualism driven and far removed from the truth wolves like Chan really are (not only Chan, but Southern Baptist apostates such as previous president Ronnie Floyd and reformed calvinists heretic John Piper, and more who endorse Bickle).

Who exactly is Mike Bickle? He is the founder of the International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City and a ravening false prophet and wolf in sheep's clothing who is aligned with the Kansas City False Prophets; a charismatic/pentecostal heretic; is intimately associated with several aberrant and heretical ungodly movements, including the NAR, Latter Rain movement (which includes false teachings on apostleship and prophets), Dominion Theology and Signs and Wonders fringe (except they've become so popular now, nobody thinks they’re the fringe anymore, which is huge sign of the end times apostasy, Mk 13:22; 2 Th 2:9); allows random people to prophesy and blaspheme in his church, which he claims led to him hearing God speak to him audibly; unBiblical prophetic teachings; ecumenical heretic associating with any and all false teachers and wolves in sheep's clothing; unscripturally claims that "the church" causes the Great Tribulation to come about and that Jesus will not return until "the church" starts “globally crying out” for him to return; lover of ungodly and carnal CCM music, and much much further blasphemous and dangerous teachings and heresy. He should be avoided with a 100 mile pole.

But Bickle is far from the only false teacher and false prophet Chan affirms and promotes, which seem to be an endless endeavour and objective for Chan, and unsurprisingly, since wolves run in packs. He associates with and has embedded himself a litany of false teachers, many of whom are self-proclaimed faith healers, Roman Catholics, Charismatics, Reformed Calvinists, Mormons, and more.

Francis Chan has done many conferences loaded with false teachers and heretics, in the same vein as him, but many much worse than him. He's been on the speaker circuit for several heretical crusades. Besides the popular IHOPKC, one of the most notorious conferences is The Send, a massive gathering that fills stadiums, in which Francis Chan shares a stage with Lou Engle, Benny Hinn, Todd White, Bill Johnson, Daniel Kolenda, Michael Koulianos, Heidi Baker, and more. The Send conference is part of the unbiblical and heretical NAR movement, and in this linked video, Chan unbelievably invites people to this absolute heretical, evil, and horribly demonic conference that is literally the feeding grounds of wolves, where practically every manifestation of Satanic spirits is present (as you will note in the above linked video, fits, head bobbing, disturbing rocking back and forth, laughing like hyenas, laying on the floor kicking feet in the air or having seizure like activity, acting as “drunks,” etc). Whats even more incredible, Francis says that "when you go out there, it'll be like sheep amongst wolves." (video). How refreshing to see him right for once. Contrary to this evil man, No, Jesus would NOT have promoted such an evil conference that is absolutely laden with iniquity, heresy, and the unfruitful works of darkness, the habitation of demonic birds. Just like Jesus, truly saved people do not dine at the table of devils:

"But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils." (1 Cor 10:20-21)

Chan has also been a frequent speaker at the dangerous and ungodly Passion Conference hosted by the neo-evangelical and emerging churcher Louie Giglio. These ungodly fleshly and carnal exhibitions, worldly music and rock shows, unscriptural appearances/dressing, heretical doctrine and false gospels and false "Jesus's," zero passion for truth, major perversion and wresting of Scripture, and much more, is not of God but of the world and Satan, but Chan has no problem whatsoever associating with this evil and apostate environment of unfruitful darkness, nor filling his coffers with their dividends.

In 2020 Chan spoke at the Alpha Conference 2020 hosted by Hillsong Phoenix, which conference came complete with a Catholic mass, alongside a litany of heretics and false teachers and apostates such as Sarah Shin of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, Kelvin Walker of the heretical and neo-evangelical Christian & Missionary Alliance, the apostate Roman Catholic cult priest James Mallon, and ungodly contemporary worship leader Matt Redman. Chan had no problem associating with a conference that opened with the Catholic mass in which a wafer of bread allegedly became the body and blood of Jesus and worshipped as Jesus by the participants, according to official Catholic doctrine. Alpha itself is absolutely wickedly heretical, egregious to the core, an ecumenical interdenominational evangelistic program that was birthed in the 1990's at Holy Trinity Brompton Anglican Church in London, England, from a charismatic “revival” in which people experienced “massive electricity going through” their bodies, were thrown across rooms by spiritual forces, howled, laughed like hyenas, lay on the floor with their feet in the air, and acting as “drunks.” The Alpha course includes a “Holy Spirit Day” with the objective of bringing the participants into a charismatic experience, including speaking in “tongues.” Alpha is a big part of the Antichrist construction project for the one-world “church.” The developer and absolute heretic Nicky Gumble, vicar of Holy Trinity Brompton, details the false unity, ecumenicalism with apostasy, and Satanic anti-separation model of this pogrom: “Alpha runs in every arm of the Church. It’s growing the fastest in the Catholic church. . . . What unites us is infinitely greater than what divides us. . . . In every different part of the body of Christ--Presbyterian, Baptist, Lutheran, non-denominational, Catholic, Pentecostals, Bulgarian Orthodox, Coptic Orthodox--Alpha crosses all divides” (“The Alpha Course: An International Phenomenon,” WillowCreek.org, March 2012). Hillsong is a network of Charismatic, Pentecostal, Neo-evangelical, Emerging bastions of heresy churches and influential producer of ungodly and worldly CCM worship music.

This is who Francis Chan is, by direct association, by holding hands. Ecumenical. Heretical. Purveyor of Fake and False Unity. Promoter of Evil. Endorser of Doctrines of Devils (1 Tim 4:1) and Damnable Heresies (2 Pet 2:1).

"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" (Am 3:3)

This passage has far reaching consequences for apostate ecumenists such as Francis Chan.

At a conference titled Together in 2022, Chan joined a hodge-podge of big name speakers including emergent, neo-evangelical and ecumenical Dallas Jenkins (The Chosen creator), NAR leader Samuel Rodriguez, CCM singer David Crowder, Charismatic heretic Tony Evans, emerging, neo-evangelical heretics Josh McDowell and Paul Eschleman (CRU), and emergent/NAR sympathizing Christine Caine. This illustrates a clear picture of today’s doctrinally mixed-up, undiscerning, and confused "evangelical" church that is “tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine” (Eph 4:14). Its a den of devils and an example of how today’s so-called "evangelical" leaders have sacrificed truth on the altar of unity. Thus, it is no surprise that “unity” is the overall theme behind the Together events, but its fake and false unity.

Francis Chan’s embrace of Catholicism is perhaps the most profound syncretism and heresy in his ecumenicalism. Almost unbelievably, Chan associates with the antichrist Pope (speaking, since its not preaching, at the ungodly Giglio Passion Conference together with the Pope), and speaks of the Roman Catholic Church as being the first true church and that for the first 1500 years of Church history, “Christians all believed the same thing. Wow. Unbelievable. What a butchery of church history. Undoubtedly he learned this through his Reformed Calvinist education at Masters Seminary who advance this lie and falsehood of Roman Catholicism being God's church until the Protestant Reformation. Nevertheless, true believers have absolutely nothing to do with Rome, whom is mystery Babylon, the great whore and mother of all harlots (Rev 17-18), who comes with a perverted and corrupted gospel and damnable heresies, for they separate themselves from such evil unbelievers, idolaters, and infidels (2 Cor 6:14-18). But not Chan. He doesn't need to obey God's Word because he is, after all, according to his own words, god himself. Chan has even joined Catholic Priests and Nuns in speaking at a Roman Catholic Conference which occurred at the Fellowship of Catholic University Students' SEEK conference in February of 2021 (source).

Francis Chan is clearly an ecumenist at heart. He claims, "I don't care if you are Catholic or Baptist, just if you love Jesus" (source). The "love" Chan is promoting is not Biblical love, not even sentimentalism, but a corrupted and demonic perversion of Biblical love. Both his "lo

Chan is closely associated with the massively corrupt, thieving, false teacher, lover of filthy lucre, wolf in sheep's clothing, KP Yohannan (aka. Metropolitan Yohan) and Gospel for Asia (GOF), whom we expose in this scathing report here: Are You Feeding Wolves like K.P. Yohannan and Gospel for Asia (GFA)? In the below screen shot, you can see the wicked false unity, heresy of the Eucharist, and association between three equally heretical false teachers, apostates and wolves in sheep's clothing (which includes Hank Hanegraff, a Greek Orthodox "convert" exalted by Catholics and once the Bible Answer Man, a serious misnomer, which he has thankfully changed to “Hank Unplugged”).

What was happening behind this scene was a video (filmed on Aug 18, 2020) of the apostates Hank Hanegraaff and KP Yohannan meeting with Chan to urge him to change his views on church history and embrace the blasphemous Eucharist, where Christ is allegedly physically present within. Chan of course, the chameleon that he is, does reevaluate his views on communion, sliding towards this Roman Catholic heresy and away from the truth of Scripture.

Francis Chan exalted the huge false spiritual "revival" festival at Asbury University that took place last year, with all his theatrics and unscriptural pleading, to keep the damnable heresy fire rolling (source: Collegiate Day of Prayer). We deal with this false, demonic "revival" here: True Revival vs The Counterfeit Charismatic Asbury “Revival” and specially what true revival is, here: What is Revival According to Scripture?

Chan is very closely associated with or highly promotes and praises many other seriously ungodly men and apostates and wolves in sheep's clothing, a nearly unending list that includes Rick Warren (Chan has no problems preaching at the awfully unBiblical and heretical saddleback church under the apostate Rich Warren, which he has done rather frequently), Kay Warren, John Piper, Henri Nouwen, Rob Bell, Shane Claiborne, Doug Pagitt, Brian McLerean, Beth Moore, Mark Driscoll, Judah Smith, Perry Noble, Steve Furtick, Todd White, Benny Hinn, Shawn Bolz, Joyce Meyer, etc, along with a plethora of ungodly, unregenerate and worldly CCM musicians, etc. These are all notorious false teachers and heretics, notorious at least to truly saved Bible believing Christians.

This is extremely problematic in itself since all these men are utterly "false teachers" and "false prophets" (2 Pet 2:1), "ravening wolves" and "grievous wolves" in sheep's clothing (Matt 7:15; Ac 20:29-30), "ungodly men" who "turn the grace of God into lasciviousness" (Ju 1:4). All of them. The whole lot are "liars, evil beasts, slow bellies" (Ti 1:12), All are warned of in Matt 7:15, including Chan himself:

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."

But Neo-evangelicals heretics such as Francis Chan love these apostates and actively endorses the ministries of these false teachers (even calling them "brothers in Christ" whom he would like to learn from), and that is absolutely tell-tale to his rebellious, ungodly, foolish and spiritually dead nature. He even claims that God will destroy anyone who criticizes “Christian leaders.” Wow, if that isn't the tongue of a serpent, I don't know what would be. Evil, lying and unfruitful worker of darkness is Francis Chan.

The two biggest issues in associating with false teachers: (1) blatant disobedience and rebellion against God's Word (e.g. Rom 16:17-18; Phil 3:2, 17-19; 1 Tim 6:3-5; 2 Tim 3:5-9; 4:1-4; 2 Jn 1:9-11; etc); (2) the danger it presents to an audience, since no warnings are given of the false teachings (and if they did, they would never be invited back), neither any substantiation of disagreements. Never do these men publicly indicate their disagreements over other speakers, for again that would severely diminish the invites.

In fact, according to Chan you cannot reprove or rebuke big men like Rick Warren, which he calls "bashing" and "crazy."

The entire quote from a speech given at the heretical Bethel Church, was:

"Are you gonna bash Rick Warren? Are you crazy? This is a guy who loves the Lord. You may not agree with everything he does, but man I'm telling you he loves Jesus-everything I can tell, a supernaturally spirit-filled man."

He said the same about these men:

"Are you gonna attack Mark Driscoll? Are you gonna attack John Piper? Are you gonna attack Mike Bickle?"

I guess I am crazy. And so are the apostles, the apostle Paul and the Lord Jesus Christ. Actually, for that matter, include even the OT prophets in that list. I guess I'm in good company. I don't even need to get into their obvious and crystal clear heresies and ecumenicalism, which has spread like a cancer around the world. These guys love the Lord? Says who? Mormons will swear they love the Lord and so will Jehovah Witnesses. The people who stand before Christ in Matt 7:21-23 appear to have believed they loved the Lord, preaching and working in His Name, yet the Lord says He never knew them. We know whether someone actually and genuinely loves the Lord Jesus Christ (thus one that is truly born again) by their fruit, by the evidence of God's Word (as noted in 1 and 2 John, and James), which front and foremost is obedience to Scripture, keeping the words of the Lord Jesus, which is the only means whereby we truly show our love to God (see Jn 14:15-24; 1Jn 2:3-5; 2 Jn 1:5-6). All four of these men listed by Chan are absolute ravening and immoral wolves in sheep's clothing, and anyone that cares even just a little bit about the truth, about obeying God's Word and thus loving the Lord Jesus Christ, will exposes these "men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith," (2 Tim 3:8) and lying, evil beasts and slow bellies (Ti 1:12) from the rooftops, for "their folly shall be manifest unto all men," (2 Tim 3:9), because of they're dangerous, destructive and divisive evils that would fill an encyclopaedia length volume, having made millions into tares, goats, and two-fold children of hell. To absolute precision, they fulfil the characteristics and corrupt fruits (Matt 7:15-20) of the false teacher of Rom 16:17-18, whom is to be marked an avoided,

"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple."

Chan is extremely ecumenical as we can see, strongly influencing the Antichrist's one world apostate church, which is well on its way.

Rather than repenting of his unbiblical and evil ecumenicalism and associations with ungodly false teachers, Chan defends his actions, even declaring, “be careful of the Lord’s anointed.” (Charisma Magazine). In other words, "touch not the Lord's anointed." This lends even further proof to his unregenerate, wolf-nature. Only ungodly, lording, heretical wolves in sheep's clothing use this OT teaching of kings in their hatred of reproof, something I have head enough times in my life by heretical preachers and pastors who absolutely despise someone pointing out their errors, falsehoods, and heresies. God's Word declares,

“Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish [i.e. stupid].” (Pr 12:1)

Not only stupid, but unwise, foolish and unregenerate (cf. Pr 1:20-30; 10:17; 15:5, 10, 31-32; 17:10; 2 Tim 3:16).

Truly saved people do not associate with false teachers, corrupt churches, denominations, wolves in sheeps clothing, and the like, not anywhere or at any time. Not in church, special events, conferences, or any other Christian related functions. Those that do, reject the doctrine of separation and once again prove themselves to be unsaved charlatans and heretics (cf. 2 Cor 6:14-18; 1 Tim 6:3-5; 2 Jn 1:6-9). This is Francis Chan. Instead of doing what scripture says, he continues aligning with false teachers, heretics and other ungodly speakers, and asks for “prayer” about it, as if Gods Word doesn’t have anything to say to it, and also claims him and his “elders” are putting up “safeguards . . . to prevent misunderstandings.” Wow. The love of self explodes wide open the gates of hell. Scripture, the truth, means absolutely nothing to this wolf in sheep's clothing. It’s a crutch to advance his popularity, his emotionalism and false “piety.” He is a very confused and deluded man.

In all this, not even considering all the other serious and dangerous issues with this deluded and demonically deceived man, Francis Chan is a quintessential prototype of the Antichrist.

I guess now—according to this man-centred heretic—"God will destroy [me]," seeing that I criticized "Christian" (by name only) leaders. What a convenient method to keep the man-centred circus show going. This is what he directly implied when speaking to the audience of Bethel Church, that God will destroy (kill) anyone who questions or opposes the teachings of Christian leaders. Using fear to motivate his audience, he manipulated and then completely wrested out of its meaning, 1 Cor 3:17, which reads: “If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.” This is the same sermon where he gave the examples of Rick Warren, Mark Driscoll, and John Piper, quoted further above. Did God destroy Paul the Apostle who was constantly criticizing "Christian leaders"? Paul even named the names of ten compromised and heretical men who had some sort of influence on Christians in that day, in 1 and 2 Timothy. The other apostles did the same, like John in 3 John 1:9-11. What about the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, who was consistently criticizing the Jewish leaders of the temple that He attended? Is God going to destroy Himself now? I speak as a fool, simulating the Heretic, Mr. Chan. In this same sermon he accuses and charges God with being unfair in not letting Moses into the promise land. This wolf in sheep's clothing has no issue offending God by his blasphemous words, corruption of doctrine, wresting of Scripture, perverting His Gospel, and so on, but goes through great pains to not offend man. Wow, he sure indeed is a prototypical Cretian, who were "liars, evil beasts, slow bellies" (Ti 1:12).

4. Chan’s false doctrines and heresies mark him as a false teacher.

As noted above points, he teaches blasphemous doctrine, continuationism, Charismatic folly such as tongues, fore-telling prophecies, and faith healings, along with elements of unBiblical Calvinism including the unbiblical TULIP, severely corrupts the doctrine of separation and actively and aggressively promotes ecumenicalism, even claims church “unity” is more important than truth, his theology and pneumatology is severely unscriptural, along with many, many other heresies.

Chan’s false, fake and bastardized “unity” and version of "love." Chan’s chief objective is “unity.” Everything in Christianity is about unity, he claims, misapplying and misrepresenting Scripture for support. Unity is so important he says, it trumps truth (which is completely Satanic). All denominations and churches need to be unified he proclaims, as if there aren’t vast differences. All of the problems in church are apparently found in a lack of unity, which he connects to a “shallow love.” The “chief argument for unbelieving people coming to know God” is unity, according to Chan’s Eclectic Bible chapter 6 verse 66, and thus must be fought for and passionately pursued. He even wrote a book in 2021 to that end, called, well you guessed it, Until Unity. Chan calls his fake version of "unity," apologetics. Wow. Unity with ungodly, heretical, false teachers like Todd White, Benny Hinn, Rick Warren, Mike Bickle, and the rest of the brief inglorious list further above, is the apologetic according to Chan. Nothing like twisting words and giving them the very opposite meaning, in similitude to the leftist, woke, evil reprobates in our present wicked world.

Everything he writes in his book of disunity loaded with unscriptural teachings and corruption of Scripture and doctrine, is based on his own personal feelings, emotions and opinions. In fact, everything he does is emotion-led. Chan completely denies the critical importance of doctrine in the issue of “unity,” (which he isn’t ignorant of, so the denial is entirely intentional and diabolical), so he can continue with his perverted premise of a lack of “love” for the disunity. This is ALWAYS the rallying cry of false and heretical teachers: love, love, and love, even though they entirely weaponize love, and corrupt and pervert true Biblical love. But there's a purpose for it. Love makes him appear passionate and loving, and gains the affections and accolades of the world, when the very opposite is in fact true (in similitude to his philanthropy, by the giving away much of his salary, book earnings, and then "serving" the poor in Hong Kong), while doctrine would bring his heresies and false "love" to light. He would have to admit that doctrine divides, what Scripture teaches (1 Cor 11:19; Lk 12:51-53; Mk 10:34-39), and then be forced to deal with his serious disunity, not only in the truck loads of false doctrine and corruption of Scripture he purveys, but also in his ungodly and diabolical ecumenicalism that absorbs his life.

In a promo video for his book, he of course speaks about unity, quotes Eph 4:11-13 but then completely ignores the rest of that context, vv. 14-16, which defines and describes what true unity actually is! Of course this once again reflects how false teachers flow (2 Pet 2:1-3; 3:16-17). They privately interpret the scriptures (2 Pet 1:21) to fit their false and ungodly, fleshly driven narrative. The promo video also reveals that Francis Chan doesn't have the first clue as to why there are so "many factions in Christianity," or who the Devil is, the god of this world and what he is doing in this world. He also doesn't have the foggiest idea what truth is. Really. He is a very confused man and ought to be asking, in likemindedness with Pontius Pilate, "What is truth?" (Jn 18:38) because he doesn't know it. To claim that all heretical and apostate denominations throughout the world in these last days of apostasy have the same spirit and are part of the same body of Christ (which is also the unscriptural and heretical "universal church" teaching), reveals how corrupt and false his "truth" really is. He does not understand the most simplistic element of Christianity, for true believers that is, which is the vast difference between true born again believers and false nominal "Christians." To not understand this is to fail to understand many, many things, including the almost innumerable false denominations and churches throughout the world. He does not understand apostasy, because he is unsaved, and a false teacher, and apostate himself.

The Bible is exceedingly clear that unity grows or falls by doctrine or lack thereof, and that sound doctrine, which is simply truth, is absolutely more critical than anything: click and read: 2 Tim 2:15; 3:16; Ti 1:9; 2:1; 1 Jn 4:1; Heb 13:9; Eph 4:14-16. The whole goal of true Biblical unity, achievable only in a true, local, autonomous, Bible-believing (which is the use of the KJV in English churches) church, is so we would

“be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;” (Eph 4:13-14, verses intentionally left out by Chan).

Verse 15 was also deleted by Chan, which speaks of true Biblical unity involving “speaking the truth in love,” not just to “love” (in an experiential sense), and love here is actually true Biblical love as described in 1 Cor 13, but even more importantly, is obedience to the words of God in the Word of God (Jn 14:23-24; 1 Jn 2:3-5).

"And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him." (1 Jn 2:3-5)

Its by keeping God's Word that we love, and those that love God and keep His words, actually love the brethren (1 Jn 5:2-3). The passage on unity continues in Eph 4, “Speaking the truth in love,” is so that we may “grow up into him in all things.” Love without truth is not actually biblical love. And truth is what the Bible teaches (i.e. doctrine). What Chan has is not "love," but a demonic deception.

Chan is also morally compromised. (Likely in many more ways than just this mentioned here, since immorality typically goes in unison with heresy). He downplays homosexuality by claiming its no different or worse than divorce. I wonder why he does that? I wonder if his effeminacy has anything to do with it? Though divorce is very sinful and lends to adultery (who will never inherit the kingdom of God: 1 Cor 6:9-10; so in that regard it ends up in the same place), it’s not as bad however of a sin as homosexuality, contrary to Chan's claims. God does not treat all sins the same nor does His law deal with them equally.

Chan's "preaching" style. Chan is a very, very confused and emotional-driven man. His so-called "preaching" is bad theatrics, showmanship and emotional agony, acting out like if someone kicked him in the groin, with strained features and grimaces, and gasping breaths, gesticulating wildly with his hands. This is part of an overall pattern in embracing mysticism and hyper-emotionalism, markers of sensual, effeminate false teachers.

Chan embraces Roman Catholicism and its heresies like the superstitious transubstantiation/Eucharist. The Eucharist is the elements of the Lord's Supper literally becoming "the body of Christ," and thus quite serious blasphemy. Chan refuses to share the gospel with Catholics. I don't think Chan even knows the true gospel, since the Scriptures are clear that no false teacher or wolf in sheep's clothing is actually saved, actually born again, especially not one that embraces blasphemies concerning Jesus Christ (such as  transubstantiation/Eucharist). At one ecumenical One Thing conference (2018) hosted by the wolf Mike Bickle, together with Roman Catholics, Chan gave a speech to the Catholics present and declined to share the gospel with them, stating “I don’t believe the Holy Spirit wants me to.” Chan's speeches were laden with Roman Catholic propaganda talking points, even inviting the priests up on to the stage to pray for him, which they did, who chanted the Lord’s prayer (with the entire congregation joining the repetitious chant) the way it's chanted at a Roman Catholic Mass, while Chan sat there with his head bowed. Chan also removed his shoes, as if to indicate that it was "holy ground" that he was standing on. Yikes. He and the Catholic priests spoke of each other as “brothers” who partake together in the Eucharist (a Catholic perversion of the Lord’s Supper) and discussed the desire to be united in their “common faith.” False teachers are always seeking to unite with every brand of heresy that they come across, that might provide some advantage in their life. No discernment or understanding of sound doctrine. It was this same event where Chan embraced the Roman Catholic heresy of transubstantiation. In January of 2020, Chan began to publicly investigate and bend his stance on the Catholic perverted teaching of the presence of Christ in the Lord's Supper (source).

Concerning the Eucharist, which Francis Chan is unBiblically embracing (further revealing his unsaved and deceptive apostate nature), Roman Catholicism teaches:

“If anyone denies that in the sacrament of the most Holy Eucharist are contained truly, really and substantially the body and blood together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and consequently the whole Christ, but says that He is in it only as in a sign, or figure or force, let him be anathema” (Trent, 13th Session, Canon 1).
"If anyone says that in the mass a true and real sacrifice is not offered to God; or that to be offered is nothing else than that Christ is given to us to eat, let him be anathema” (Ibid, 22nd Session, Canon 1).
“If anyone says that there is not in the New Testament a visible and external priesthood, or that there is no power of consecrating and offering the true body and blood of the Lord and of forgiving and retaining sins . . . let him be anathema” (Ibid, 23rd Session, Canon 1).

This is what Francis Chan is accepting as "truth" and necessary for "unity." Rather than speaking against Rome's evil, heresies, false doctrines, apostasy, Chan rebukes an apologist in front of the entire church (a man whom had been invited by Chan himself) after the man preached the truth to his congregation about the errors of Roman Catholicism (specifically the errors of purgatory, Mary, the Eucharist, and salvation). Chan claimed it “was a mistake” to host this apologetic against Rome. We can see it wasn't that much of a step for Chan to eventually embrace Rome's damnable heresies.

Contemplative spirituality. Chan has been seen on stage performing contemplative prayers (hindu, eastern religion prayers) with Beth Moore and fellow new ager sidekick to Rick Warren, the Pied (John) Piper.

Chan sings the praises of unBiblical and blasphemous TV shows. For instance, The Son of God and the History Channel’s Bible series that spawned it, and The Chosen (Chan befriends and unites with the ungodly, heretical and blasphemous Jonathan Roumie who plays "Jesus" in this blasphemous TV series, and even speaks of "breaking bread" with him) which is likewise unBiblical, ungodly and blasphemous. Of course Chan is only one of a long list of names of influential neo-evangelical heretics and false teachers that embrace this unscriptural entertainment (others include Rick Warren, Luis Palau, Max Lucado, Pat Robertson, Andy Stanley, Joel Osteen, T.D. Jakes, Sam Rodriguez, Geoff Tunnicliffe, Leith Anderson, Ro Chang Soo, Erwin McManus, Jim-Bob Park, Bill Hybels, James O. Davis, Craig Groeschel, Miles McPherson, Jimmy Mellado, along Catholic bishops and Cardinals, etc).

Chan has zero discernment when it comes to Bible perversions. Which really is the basics of Christianity since God's Word is everything when it comes to the faith, considering that God says His Scriptures are greater than His own Name! (Ps 138:2). Chan promotes ALL the corrupted and perverted new age translations of the Bible, even the ones that add in "as above, so below" to the LORD's prayer (i.e., the evil Message). Not a shocker though, seeing that Chan's Crazy Love book has the symbol for "as above, so below" on it. The washed up RSV version, the ESV, gets used a lot, likely baggage from his days as a reformed Calvinist. Read here as to Why Modern Bible Versions are Corrupt, and the King James Version is Not.

Chan's book "Crazy Love" is unscriptural and heretical. And not only for the reason of having new age occultist symbols on its cover, or the usage of blasphemous "Bible" perversions, but for many other reasons. This book contains elements of Calvinism, tons of Scripture wresting and twisting, misuse and abuse, and extremely poor exegetical work. It also promotes a false social "gospel." Yet, again, it is used and embraced by evangelical groups.

Chan is man-centred people pleaser, who loves the spotlight and approval of the world. Typical for false teachers, they want a large following (cf 2 Pet 2:1-3), and to be liked by the world (Rom 16:18). We see that with all the big Eva heretics (the Warren’s, Graham’s, Jeremiah, Lucado, Maxwell, Stanley, Colson, Moore, and thousands of others), big reformed Calvinist heretics (Begg, Platt, Wilson, Sproul, MacArthur, Piper, Packer, Greear, Moore, and many more) and we see it with Francis Chan. In this popular book Crazy Love, he wants Christians to live as simple as possible in order to give more toward the alleviation of "suffering in the world and change the reputation of His bride in America." This is what the culture of the world and its ungodly, deceptive elites are already saying (such as Bill Gates, George Soros, Warren Buffett, WEF Führer Klaus Schwab, etc), who pledge, in their evil hypocrisy and deceptive motives, much of their vast fortunes toward the same agenda. And like the wicked world applauded them, they applaud Chan. True born again Christians are not attempting to win the world's approval. The gospel message is offensive (1 Cor 1:18-25), we are to reprove the wicked of the world (Pr 24:23-25), including the ungodly, the sinful, and the scornful, from whom we also separate (Ps 1:1-6) and fight for the faith, which includes contending, a very negative and hostile word (Ju 1:3). But Chan doesn’t like that type of Christianity, he doesn’t like the suffering, persecution, vilification and conflict type of real Biblical Christianity that is promised to genuine saints of God (Matt 5:11-12; 2 Tim 3:12; 1 Peter; etc), but rather that kind where he compromises and accepts anything and everything that comes his way, all of course for the sake of “unity” and “love,” both of which are severely corrupted and perverted by this ravening wolf in sheep’s clothing. Rather then being concerned that the world likes him, Chan rejoices in his popularity (just like Christianity Today does, affirmed in its lead article in Aug 2011), the very opposite of a true born again believer, who leaves the spotlight the very moment of his new birth (just like the Apostle Paul did, Ac 9).

“Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.” (Lk 6:26)

An example of the horrendous compromise, absolute zero discernment, no alignment whatsoever with Scripture and the perverted, ecumenical "love" that Chan has for false teachers and heretics and apostates—instead of dealing with them according to Scripture—is an interview that he did with the horrendous heresy group called Christianity Today about his book Erasing Hell, which was in response to the ungodly apostate Rob Bell's evil, blasphemous and heretical book, Love Wins. In this interview, the interviewer Mark Galli made the following statement:

"Your reaction to Love Wins was my experience as well and, I suspect, the reaction of a lot of its readers. That's the one thing that I've said is good about the book. It's forced us all to think more deeply, go back to Scripture, and read more carefully."

Chan's reply was:

"There was a lot that was good in that book. There are some good principles in there. Some of the things that he dislikes about the evangelical church today are things I have a real problem with as well. I told Rob that some of the stuff that he writes needs to be heard, and the people who need to hear it won't hear it because of the tone and some of the other things that he writes. He didn't think that was the case, but I do think there is some value in some of the things that he writes."

Wow. Unbelievable. A book that teaches universalism, which is the false belief that all people will be saved, whether or not they have ever heard the gospel message or even the name of Jesus Christ (even if they reject Him, which is >99% of the world), a book that completely rejects and denies eternal hell fire (the occasion of Chan's own book), apparently has some "good" in it that requires pointing out. Rob Bell is a false teacher by very definition (2 Pet 2:1-3), a ravening wolf in sheep's clothing (Matt 7:15), and a "liar, evil beast, slow belly" (Ti 1:12) that blows wide open the gates of hell, yet Chan thinks there is good in his writing. Just. Wow. That would be akin to putting a drop of cyanide in a glass of water and declaring, 'its only a drop. There is still a lot of good and a lot of value in that glass of water!' Drink up Chan'er.

This is a reason for the Apostle Peters following statement under inspiration about false teachers:

"But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;" (2 Pet 2:12)

Chan loves the world and the things of the world. It should go without saying, Chan has a great love for ungodly, unBiblical, worldly and carnal music such as "Christian" Contemporary Music (CCM), which is apostate, evil, unfruitful works of darkness.

The list could go on and on, the above being merely a scratch of the surface.

5. Chan’s false gospel marks him as a false teacher.

Chan is a promoter of the false social-justice “gospel" (Gal 1:6-9), which he hammers in his perverted book Crazy Love. In 2020 he moved back to Hong Kong to practically fulfill his corrupted social "gospel," since San Fran didn't work out. It was here that he got his new revelation that he was both God and man (see point # 1). I guess that could be the logical conclusion for a false teacher who rebels against God at every turn, and promotes "damnable heresies" (2 Pet 2:1).

Chan promotes Roman Catholicism's false gospel of transubstantiation and refuses to share the gospel with them, and thus--obviously--doesn't think there is anything wrong with their gospel.

Chan's gospel is shallow, watered-down, corrupt in many areas including repentance, that extremely important element of the gospel which without no man can be saved. His perverted gospel (Gal 1:6-9) is not about the true, supernatural, superdramatic conversion of a repentant sinner, but something entirely different. A carnal, worldly, ecumenical, emotion-led "gospel," that makes deluded people followers of deluded Chan, but not of the true Jesus Christ of the Bible. His corrupted and perverted "gospel" fits into what what Rick Warren and most other big Eva heretics teach, seeker-sensitive, all about the numbers (Chan claims that 100 people saved in a year is not a "success"), and the corrupted versions of easy believism and quick prayerism, making the unsaved two-fold children of hell.

Gal 1:8 warns,

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."

Francis Chan is "accursed."

2 Jn 1:9-11 warns to have NO association with anyone that teaches a false gospel or any element of the doctrine of Christ, which not only includes Chan, but every single name listed under point # 3:

"Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds."

Conclusion

Much, much more could be documented here, but we reckon this is more than sufficient to expose the awful heresies of this false teacher and wolf in sheep's clothing.

Chan is a Heinz 57 ecumenist and people-pleaser, which is a man-centred heretic, wholly incompatible with Biblical Christianity and servitude to Christ (Gal 1:10; Ps 1:1-6). He is far more concerned about offending man rather than offending God. Chan will associate and yoke and praise practically anyone and everyone that comes with the label "Christian," including Satan himself (Jam 2:19; cf. 2 Cor 11:12-15). He is intimately yoked with essentially all of the harlots of the great whores. He identifies as an emergent neo-evangelical, reformed Calvinist, contemporary rocker, Charismatic, Roman Catholic whore, proponent of the prosperity "gospel," word of faith healer, and so on. Thus the fact he regularly shares the stage with heretics is unsurprising. Chan’s heresies stem from a serious lack of discernment, disobedience, rebellion, and inability to understand Scripture, which are all the ear marks of an apostate.

Not only is the man manifoldly disqualified from any church office, he exposes himself continually to be a ravening wolf in sheep's clothing. He is a false teacher in the very sense of the word, and all false teachers and heretics need to be rejected (Rom 16:17-18; Ti 3:10-11).

How on earth is this sorely deceived man a teacher and "minister" when he is so doctrinally unsound, so conflicted and confused about so many things and doesn’t seem to understand the basic tenets and history of Christianity or even the true gospel of Jesus Christ. It is frightening, and for the ever-increasingly confused Chan, shows his drift towards greater forms of apostasy, exactly as the Bible foretells will occur with false teachers and wolves,

"But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire." (2 Pet 2:22)
"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." (2 Tim 3:13)

Indeed, Francis Chan is a "false brother" (Gal 2:4-5), a "dog," "pig" and "evil worker" (Phil 3:2; 2 Pet 2:22; Matt 7:6), an "enemy of the cross of Christ" (Phil 3:18-19), an "evil man and seducer" (2 Tim 3:13), one that fits Paul's sharp denunciation in Acts 13:10 to precision:

"O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?"

Francis Chan is not a true Christian, but a false "Christian" and hypocrite.

Francis Chan is not a true teacher of the gospel and the Word of God, but a false teacher.

Francis Chan is not a sheep of God but a wolf in sheep's clothing. Chan exemplifies the adage, “If he looks like a wolf, and acts like a wolf, and howls like a wolf…he’s a wolf.” Listening and embracing Chan is becoming fodder for the pack of wolves.

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." (Matt 7:15)

Francis Chan is not a minister of God's righteousness but a servant of Satan that comes as an angel of light and minister of righteousness.

"But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." (2 Cor 11:12-15)

Flee from the voice of strangers and follow the voice of the Shepherd (Jn 10:1-5), which is the Word of God.

This is who Chan has always been. Its crucial to understand that. Nothings changed for him except that his error and evil has only "wax[ed] worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." (2 Tim 3:13). Regenerate servants of Christ see right through the facade — when a man embraces ungodly, worldly and carnal music (i.e. CCM) and calls it "Christian," or embraces heretical reformed Calvinist doctrine that corrupts theology and perverts soteriology (Gal 1:6-9) and pursues higher learning from their institutions, or habitually twists, wrest, corrupts, misuses and abuses the Word of God (2 Cor 2:17; 2 Pet 1:21; 3:16-17; etc) to fit his lustful desires and narrative (2 Pet 3:3; 1 Tim 6:3-5) because he's unable to understand, know and apply God's Word, or exercises ecumenicalism against the clear instructions of Scripture (e.g. 2 Cor 6:14-18; 2 Jn 1:9-11; 1 Tim 6:3-5; etc) at a less conspicuous level, or all the above and more, such as Francis Chan, all of which was present many years before these recents years of worsening ecumenical evil and heresies came to light. Francis Chan is plainly a "scoffer, walking after [his] own lusts," (2 Pet 3:3), but he always was. People that lack discernment because they've actually never been saved, could not see it, so they embraced the false teacher and wolf in sheep's clothing, and only when he crossed their ever moving goal posts, especially at the ire of reformed calvinists, did he become the product of separation and expose. They draw lines, only lines that are far removed from God's Word. So its definitely not "unfathomable" that a "[non]-legitimate Christian minister would progressively delve deeper into involvement with notorious heretics" as some reformed Calvinists claim. The writing was on the wall long before he ever entered Johnny Mac's school of reformed kooks, but he certainly belonged there.

When I see Francis Chan flying around with his theatrics and wild gestures, I'm thinking this guy is strongly influenced or possessed by an unclean, evil spirit.

And yes, speaking the truth and standing for the truth of God's Word, is loving. Exposing false teachers like Francis Chan, is most certainly loving. Its true Biblical love, the kind described in 1 Cor 13. True "Charity . . . Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;" (1 Cor 13:6). Its loving God because God's Word commands these things, and we love Him by obeying and keeping His words (Jn 14:15-24; 1 Jn 2:3-5; 2 Jn 1:5-6; etc). Its also loving mankind by warning them about false teachers, who are exceedingly dangerous. God loves Berean's. They are called "more noble" in Scripture (Ac 17:11). Being a Berean entails testing what people say and do with Scripture, and then exposing that which is wrong, egregious and false. Leaving no error or lie unexposed. That is loving because God demands it. If you are confused about love, read here on what the Bible teaches about true Biblical love, and also this report about Answering False Accusations of Warring Spiritual Warfare.
