Are You Feeding Wolves like K.P. Yohannan and Gospel for Asia (GFA)?

Updated: Oct 30, 2023

Gospel For Asia (GFA), recently renamed "GFA World" (due to the corruption and scandals that plague this organization), was founded in Texas in 1978 by K.P. Yohannan (photo), an Indian from India who had come to USA to attend Bible college.

Not only has Yohannan changed the name of his corrupt, extortion money funneling institution, he has also changed his own name to "Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan Metropolitan." 😂 Metropolitan is the name of the "Christian" denomination he bought and he popes over. Why the name changes? To distant himself from the severe scandals and corruption linked to his name and organization, that is the real reason but he claims the name change is to represent his own greatness as a saint. True shory. Which only makes it worse.

GFA solicits and collects donations for evangelizing primarily India, including its lowest caste's Dalits (which are under slavery to the higher caste, everywhere they go in the world--the entire caste system is slavery), but also Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand. GFA claims that supporting its indigenous missionaries is more efficient and effective than sending cross-cultural missionaries, and pledges "100% of all donations preferenced for use on the mission field are sent to the mission field."

They are not. It's one, big, sick lie and scam. Complete fraud.

Hundreds of millions of dollars have been funnelled into the pockets of K.P. Yohannan. Factually. Not only by gullible and naive North Americans, but also through forced giving of the lower caste Indians.

If the Bible is truly the sole authority for faith and practice, the faith and practice will correspond to or reflect the Bible. That is expected in professing Christians yet far removed from people like K.P. Yohannan. It behooves me to the gullibleness of professing Christians, especially evangelicals, who give their money liberally to organizations that are suspect right out of the starting blocks. He is a spiritual fraud and the moment he opens his mouth, anyone could have known that. His book on World Missions also revealed that, which was published in 1986, fraught with error, Scripture misrepresentation and manipulation, false teachings and love of money. He attempts to portray himself as a charitable philanthropist by taking no money for his book, but the actual truth is an entirely different story. He has scammed people out of millions of dollars to fill his own pockets, car trunks, suitcases, real estate, and more.

“Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.” (2 Ch 19:2b)

Consider the following warnings as to why this organization or man should not be supported in any shape or fashion.

People that do support this ministry are supporting error, corruption and the enemy. They are supporting a wolf in sheeps clothing (Matt 7:15). 2 Ch 19:2 warns God wrath is on those who “help the ungodly.”

“Be not deceived: evil communications [associations] corrupt good manners.” (1 Cor 15:33).

1. GFA and K.P. Yohannan’s fraudulent, corrupt, illegal and unethical practices.

GFA is not what it appears to be but rather a criminal enterprise masquerading as a Christian charitable organization. Its main mission is empire building through defrauding donors of funds by the exploitation of poverty under the pretence of raising donations to minister to the poorest of the poor. Under this guise they redirect and funnel the greatest portion of donations that were designated for charitable causes, upwards of 80%, to enrich Yohannan and his family materially, to enhance his personal empire development, through for example, buying hospitals-for-profit, businesses-for-profit, a professional soccer team, a 2,000 acre rubber plantation estate in India (for $19 million), an engineering college (for $70 million), schools, even an entire denomination (Believers Eastern Church, which Yohannan oversees as the potentate pope)! Tens of millions of dollars remains unaccounted for.

Yohannan's one driving motivation and theme has always been money and filthy lucre. Money, money, money, the one all consuming matter on his pagan and carnal brain. Its not love for God's Word that has ever motivated him at all, noted right from the get go with the heretical "Bible" college he attended and many other things, but love for money as if money brings salvation, which is what he has been preaching. His love of money comes out in absolutely everything he does, whether being interviewed or writing, or "preaching" in a "church." During interviews and in his book he has contrasted the wealth and excesses of the Western churches against the dire needs of the impoverished churches in south Asia. He exhorts Western Christians to take up their cross and follow after Jesus which means to hand over the money and to stop building expensive buildings and other unbiblical expenditures. Once they have forked over hundreds of millions of dollars, he uses $45 million of the donations collected for the impoverished in south Asia to build a gleaming 100,000-square-foot headquarters (pictured below) and 80 suburban homes in Wills Point, Texas for the leaders and other officials of GFA, among many other things as noted above. If that isn't fraudulent and hypocrisy, not sure what would be. But the lies don’t stop there. Yohannan claimed that $19.8 million for the construction of the headquarters had come from an anonymous donor, who was later exposed to be K.P. Yohannan's own Believers Eastern Church in India that is financed by GFA.

The Canadian and Indian Governments have been investigating Yohannan and GFA for gross misappropriation and misrepresentation of donor funds. Audited financial reports show that GFA raised $93.5 million in Canada alone from 2008-2014 and then supposedly forwarded the money to India. The Indian Government explicitly reports however that GFA claimed no income whatsoever from Canada in that corresponding time frame. The money apparently disappeared. In 2013 (the most recent year audited financial data is available), GFA worldwide collected around $115 million in donations but spent less than $15 million on services and relief under GFAs mission to support the poor and needy of India—contrary to donor designations and GFA’s promises.

In 2017, Indian officials canceled the registration of four different charities Yohannan founded and funded with money from GFA donors: Believers Eastern Church, Ayana Charitable Trust, Love India Ministries, and Last Hour Ministry. These groups could no longer receive foreign funds.

In 2018, 200,000 American donors sued GFA for having sent only 13%, not the promised "100%," of their donations to the field, and sought the return of the $376 million they had donated to GFA from January 2009 to September 2018. GFA settled their class action lawsuit in 2019 for $37 million and kept 90% of their money even though GFA claimed it was innocent and that it would have prevailed if the case had gone to trial. Right... And cows jump over the moon.

In 2020, India's Income Tax Department raided K.P. Yohannan-related compounds suspected of money laundering and diverting for his personal use tax-exempt foreign donations intended for the poor, and discovered 5,700,000 Rupees ($77,000) of unexplained cash in the trunk of a car parked at the headquarters of his Believers Eastern Church (source), as well as more than 38,000,000 Rupees ($518,0000) of unexplained cash at one of its churches in Delhi, and summoned him to come to their office in December and explain. Instead of appearing, Yohannan disappeared and is believed to be hiding now in one of the 80 suburban homes at the GFA compound in Texas (https://www.gfadiaspora.com/). At that time, India did a search-and-seizure of 66 places of worship, schools, colleges, hospitals and headquarters owned by Yohannan from illegally used tax-exempt foreign donations intended for helping the poor and the destitute (source). In 2021, Tax Authorities in India Seized the Home of Gospel for Asia Founder Bishop K.P. Yohannon.

Many personal testimonies have surfaced of GFA's terrible corruption. You know its really bad when other unscriptural and heretical organizations abandon and evict GFA because of these allegations of fraud and lying, such as the National Radio Broadcasters (NRB) and Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) of which GFA was a charter member. In fact, GFA's financial mismanagement was first exposed in 2015 when the ECFA terminated GFA's membership after a review of the group’s practices, having discovered they violated five of the financial accountability group’s seven standards, touching virtually every aspect of the ministry.

The Indian government has uncovered an operation of 30 trusts across the country, many of which have been found to “exist only on paper” and are suspected of being used to re-route funds. GFA continues to be under lawsuits and investigation, in-spite of one major court case of massive donor fraud in the US being settled in 2019 for $37 million (source) and now (since Feb 2020) facing a new similar class action lawsuit here in Canada (source), seeking damages for the “misuse of donor funds in excess of $100 million," which is in fact for $170 million. This class action lawsuit is still pending.

Deception and racketeering are the true guiding principles of GFA and those who give to this organization are transgressing Gods Word (Pr 17:15; 24:23-25) and behaving like the simple minded (gullible, naive) who in scripture are always unsaved (e.g. Ps 19:7; Pr 1:20-31; 14:15, 18; Rom 16:18). GFA is simply a corrupt shell corporation using Christianity as a means of massive personal gain and wealth, to build an earthly empire in the name of “Jesus,” while throwing crumbs to the poor, the false pretence of their cause. Yohannan is doing precisely what Simon the sorcerer was doing in Acts 8, exploiting God for monetary and selfish purposes, driven by a love of money and power.

K.P. Yohannan well knows rich westerners will give to an “evangelical” organization that caters to the extreme poor, especially after the worldwide publicity of India's poor by the Roman Catholic mother Theresa. But it’s a facade to fill his pockets, proven repeatedly and even by his very own words.

In an article posted online at GFA titled “From the Heart of KP Yohannan,” he plays on the heartstrings of people by relaying a story of a poor street girl begging for money. He starts with:

“But the harsh reality is that nearly two billion people of our generation have still never heard the Good News. What answers are we prepared to give to the living God when He asks about the blood of these multitudes on our hands?”

Though that may sound good, it is in fact hypocrisy, as we‘ll see in what he does with this girl begging for physical bread. Does Yohannan give her “the Good News” so he has an “answer . . . to give to the living God when He asks about the blood of [this girl] on [his] hands” — what Yohannan says is the great need for billions of people? He does not. Not even a word. What he actually does reveals his true nature, which is,

“I put my hands in my pocket and took out all the money I could find and gave it to her. Then I walked on.” (source)

Wow. Just. Wow. Unbelievable. How sick. Those are his very own words. The irony is disgusting. She didn’t just need physical bread but the Bread of Life, Who gives and keeps giving physical bread, for He cares for His own (Matt 6:24-34), but Yohannan didn’t give her the most important thing in this world, even though that is allegedly his concern, because that is not why he does what he does. He not only didn’t give her what she needed, his actions also reveal he lacks discernment. In the story, which can be read at the link above, the little girl was not being truthful with him, since the vast majority of that money he was giving to her would‘ve gone to the mafia that control India’s streets. I personally know this because I have ministered to and worked amongst the poorest in the streets of India, in fact and undoubtedly he would’ve known that as well. This story is used as exploitation for his true purpose and love... Money.

Yohannan is a hypocrite and hypocrites inevitably expose themselves, since “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Pr 23:7). The Bible is also clear that no hypocrite is ever regenerate (Matt 23; 7:1-5; 24:51; Rom 2:1-24), the definition on its own establishing that (hypocrite is defined as an actor, a pretender).

Yohannan castigates the rich of western nations for not giving their riches away, the “evangelical” Build Back Better program, pioneered and pushed by wolves in sheep’s clothing like the Mennonite Ron Sider, but then he goes on to build his own earthly empire. Of course wicked hypocrites wouldn’t be expected to act any different than hypocritically and corrupt.

Scripture warns “Covetousness” is not to “be once named among you, as becometh [befitting of] saints” (Eph 5:3).

“For this ye know, that no . . . covetous man . . . hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.” (Eph 5:5)
The unsaved “Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.” (Eph 4:18-19)

Yohannan is greedy to the core like the evil betrayer Judas Iscariot but the truly saved on the other hand have “not so learned Christ” (Eph 4:20).

Indeed, "the love of money is the root of all." (1 Tim 6). Speaking about unsaved people who strive after being rich ("they that will be"), after the love of riches and money, Paul the Apostle warns:

"But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition." (1 Tim 6:9)

This point alone proves Yohannan to be a greedy, corrupt servant-of-his-belly-but-not-the-Lord, grievous wolf in sheeps clothing (Rom 16:17-18; Phil 3:18-19).

He is a "liar, evil beast, slow belly" (Ti 1:12), a "dog" and "evil worker" (Phil 3:2) and warned of in passages such as Phil 3:18-19,

"(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)"

Shame on you if you give to this evil, greedy, thieving man and organization. Stop feeding wolves in sheep's clothing. Stop it immediately and then start warnin of this devil who comes as his father, as a "minister of righteousness" (2 Cor 11:12-15)

“Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.” (2 Ch 19:2b)

2. Yohannan BOUGHT an episcopal-type church denomination cult called Believer’s Metropolitan Church with millions of dollars of donated money and has enthroned himself as the overseeing supreme pontiff -- a “church” which is much more inline with Catholicism than that of a NT church.

Yohannan founded the pseudo-Christian cult, Believers Christian Church in 2000 at Thiruvalla in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. Yohannan used the donations to create his own cult and make himself its ruler. Yohannan gave himself the title, "His Eminence, Most Reverend Dr. K.P. Yohannan, the Metropolitan Bishop" and made himself the supreme head of Believers Eastern Church and appointed Bishops from North India and the Church of South India for his coronation as ‘Bishop’. Later, he declared himself as an ‘Archbishop’ and hired six junior Bishops under him. Yohannan (seated in the picture above) dresses like an Orthodox Patriarch or the Roman Catholic Pope, and wears a ring that the "bishops" he ordains must kiss. Yohannan demands lifelong submission even from Americans who work for GFA. Indeed, a cultist dictator, a Satanic wolf in sheep's clothing. The following transcribed dialogue at the ordination of his junior bishops in 2011 serves as an example of how terribly cultish this man is, and how far he is truly removed from the truth of God's Word (transcribed from audio recording https://clyp.it/phc02ir4# time 2:25 to 2:51).

K.P. Yohannan:

“Will you promise to submit to my leadership, my successors, and authorities of the church and the ministry set over you all the days of your life and ministry?”

Ordainee:

“I firmly make this pledge and promise in the name of God and before this congregation that I will submit and always remain loyal and faithful to your leadership and to your successors and in all matters.”

Take also a look at the following video (click on picture below or here), where, upon ordaining priests at one of the seminaries in India, the men bow down and kiss the ring of "His Eminence" the Most Rev. Metropolitan ArchBishop Dr. KP Yohannan, the “supreme head" of Believers Church. Jesus or the apostles had none of those titles. He even has a bodyguard on hand that obeys his every word, and ensures nothing happens out of place. This evil reception of worship that belongs to God alone (Ac 10:25-26; Rev 22:8-9) is terribly blasphemous and idolatrous, and dovetails with everything else evil going on at GFA with all its perversion and corruption.

3. GFA is thoroughly neo-evangelical, which is unscriptural, heretical and strongly reflective of false professors (Ti 1:16; 2 Jn 1:9-11).

Neo-evangelicalism is a movement that first tolerated error and sin, then accommodated it, cooperated with it, and ultimately capitulated to it, and that is what we see in “evangelical” churches on every hand today. “Evangelical” and “neo-evangelical” are synonymous in our day, essentially defined by the apostate Laodicean church (Rev 3:14-18). They think they see, are rich and are clothed but are in fact blind, poor and naked.

For the most part, these type of churches do not know the true faith of scripture required for conversion and upon which the just do live, for they know not the God of scripture. The “God” they have embraced is foreign to that of God’s Word. They claim justification by faith alone but corrupt the gospel by not expecting or having true born again testimonies, corrupting repentance and Christs Lordship, preaching an extremely watered down gospel and using worldly and fleshly “worship.” So their gospel is perverted and “another gospel” (2 Cor 11:4; Gal 1:8-9), essentially a repentant-less, Lord-less, blood-less, hell-less “gospel,” of easy believism and process "salvation" that doesn’t save or change anyone. This corrupted and perverted false gospel has lead many “evangelical” churches to be filled with people who have a “form of godliness” but their lives “deny the power thereof” and Scripture is very clear, “from such turn away” (2 Tim 3:5). This is not only GFA but also the vast majority of other “evangelical” churches.

What they’ve done is carved out a new “Jesus” (2 Cor 11:4) in their carnal imaginations (Rom 8) that caters to their unsound doctrine, compromise, false teachings, worldliness, love of money and riches, and whatever else that exudes the fleshly natural estate. “Evangelicals” like GFA and Yohannan are clearly led by “another spirit” (2 Cor 11:4).

How do you know when an institution is neo-evangelical? There are many symptoms but the following I could classify as obvious ones. When they repudiate separation; hate judging and are blown about by winds of judge-not philosophy and other false doctrine; despise negativity and embrace positivism; despise doctrinal controversy, fighting and contending for the faith; exalt “love” and “unity” above doctrine (while they corrupt both of these in their carnal imaginations); social justice “gospel” instead of plain preaching of the true gospel; desire for intellectual respectability; pride of scholarship; greed of filthy lucre; hatred for strict Biblical obedience; hatred for being seen as “different” so they fit right into the world; dividing doctrinal truth into categories of importance (i.e. essentials and non-essentials); worldly in dress, in music and in entertainment; soft and tolerant; blatant hypocrisy; worldly; ignorant to truth; serious perverted interpretation and wresting of Scripture; terribly corrupt views of doctrine and scriptural passages; etc. Such type of “evangelical” churches are loaded with heresies and fables including modern Bible perversions; Contemporary Praise Music (CCM); ecumenism with all sort of heretics and apostates and even affiliation with Rome; cultural liberalism; denying Hell; theistic evolution; charismaticism; contemplative mysticism; psychology and self-esteemism (often cloaked in "mental health" lingual or "counselling"); false gods; etc.

Many of these neo-evangelical and heretical elements can be found in Gospel for Asia, along with ritualistic false religion.

4. GFA and Yohannan is extremely ecumenical with many unBiblical and heretical associations.

This is one of the characteristics of neo-evangelicalism but is important enough to mention separately. Yohannan preaches in any and all churches regardless of their doctrine or practice, says no to no one, and stands up to no error. There is a reason for this. It is not truth, the Word of God, or the Spirit of God that guides him but the coffers and forging monetary relationships. He yokes with and endorses practically anyone that comes along, including the extremely heretical NRB Association (where he was a board member from 2013–15, which speaks volumes, and ironically an organization that expelled GFA due to the fraud allegations), the unscriptural Christian Men's Network Global Fatherhood Initiative, Hindustan Bible College, John Haggai, Francis Chan (an accessory to his scam -- Following Legal Settlement, Francis Chan Defends Gospel for Asia), etc. These are heretical and unBiblical associations.

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Am 3:3).

Yohannan received his theological training at Criswell College (named after Dr. W.A. Criswell, a heretic and freemason, and the mentor of the wicked wolf Rick Warren) an extremely heretical and apostate institution run now for many years by nothing but wolves in sheep's clothing which embrace all elements of the ungodly emerging church, while not even remotely aligned with Scripture. Even the unsaved Christ-rejecting Jewish Orthodox Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein has lectured there, whose ministry was about building bridges between evangelicals and Jews. In a May 1994 Charisma article, Eckstein said: "I'm not a Christian, I'm still a Jew.” One of the 21 consultants to review the seriously ungodly and blasphemous “The Message” “Bible” perversion came from this school. This is at whose feet Yohannan goes for theological training. Zero discernment. Zero sense on biblical truth. Zero obedience to the Word of God. Zero true Biblical gospel. Completely and utterly heretical. So much for obedience to such passages such as Rom 16:17-18; Phil 3:17-19; 1 Tim 6:3-5; 2 Tim 3:5-9; 2 Jn 1:6-9; Eph 5:5-11; Ac 20:28-29; etc.

He has also been invited to attend John Hagee’s “Bible” school in Singapore, who is a false teacher in his own right. I digress momentarily. I find it interesting that men like K.P. Yohannan, John Haggee, Francis Chan are all embraced by the Evangelical Bergthaler Mennonite Conference (EBMC) churches in Alberta, an apostate denomination. These men flock together and are revered by the people of these churches, and promoted by their leaders. This is shameful and only reflective of wolves in sheep's clothing who are leading the sheep (by profession or name at least) into destruction and slaughter (Ac 20:28-30).

It makes no difference to Yohannan how heretical the organization is — if it or they can somehow influence or further his position or pocket book then he will go. Especially the pocket book, as noted with the hundreds of millions of dollars sliding through Yohannans slippery fingers. This is revealing of someone who seriously lacks spiritual discernment (1 Cor 2:14-16; 1 Jn 4:1-3) and obedience to Gods Word (Rom 16:17; Eph 5:11) and Scripture is clear that those who blatantly and wilfully disobey God’s Word don’t love the Lord Jesus Christ (Jn 14:15-24; De 13:1-4) or know Him (1 Jn 2:3-5). True disciples of Christ keep, follow and obey God’s Word (Jn 8:31-32), not follow after filthy lucre like Yohannan.

5. Much of Yohannan’s doctrine is unsound and heretical, which makes him a false teacher.

He doesn’t appear to understand even basic doctrine or truth, which consequently denies the working of the Holy Spirit (2 Tim 2:15; 1 Jn 2:20-21, 27; 2 Jn. 1:2; 3 Jn 1:2). He uses any modern “Bible” perversion that suits his taste for the moment, or necessary to complete an agenda. His sermons can't even be described as watered down. They are at best story telling and man-exalting, while bringing in a few tidbits of truth on occasion. That what he presents as discipleship, is unscriptural and pursuing after signs and wonders. His "gospel" and "Jesus" are both patently false (2 Cor 11:4) and the product of apostate neo-evangelicalism, but necessary to keep the milk and honey flowing. John warns,

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. . . . If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” (1 Jn 1:9-11).

6. Specifically, the "gospel" of Yohannan is a false perverted social "gospel."

Yohannan is the author of Revolution in World Missions one of a few hundred books he has allegedly authored, which tells us how he utilzies his time: not evangelizing as he claims but attempting to increase the finances of his safe, where he hides his money. This book was widely distributed among American churches when it was published in 1986. I used to own a copy but it got burned with the rest of the "evangelical" poison that had been given me over the years. The premise of the book is fully faulty and unscriptural and is entirely pragmatic.

Yohannan claims that while God may still call some Western missionaries to perform “unique and special tasks” on the mission field, “the primary role for Westerners now should be to support efforts of indigenous mission works through financial aid and intercessory prayer.” (p. 145).

Wow, speaking like a true belly worshipper (Phil 3:18-19; Rom 16:17-18) and champion of filthy lucre. A careful reading reveals that his underlying philosophy is based upon economic socialism and social pragmatism and in fact a pervasive love of money and greed, rather than any biblical mandate or precedent. In fact, the entire book and the philosophies espoused therein are noticeably void of any biblical content or basis. Perhaps the answer to this lies in the fact that Yohannan claims his new paradigm and his subsequent ministry resulted from a vision he received from God rather than from the clear dictates of God’s Word. He writes,

“As I prayed and fasted, God revealed himself to me in a vision. It came back several times before I understood the revelation.” (pp. 56-57).

Sorry to break it to belly-serving heretics like Yohannan, God does not work through visions anymore. Those that receive "visions" have been visited by a familiar spirit, which is also known as an evil spirit. Yohannan is also evil in that he has added words to the completed canon of Scripture, something very strongly forbidden in Scriprure (e.g. Rev 22:18).

In this unscriptural and heretical book, Yohannan rants and whines about all the money Americans have, while India at the same time is so poor. But he is a hypocrite, since he is a large part of that problem, as we see in his manner of rich living, corruption, extortion of money from the Dalits (the untouchables), and allegiance to the caste system. The fact he even mentions this, reflects an unregenerate estate that is completely void of any discernment or wisdom. Upon his arrival in the USA, he was amazed at the wealth that characterized America and its inhabitants. He writes,

“From the moment I touched foot on American soil, I walked in an unbelieving daze. How can two so different economies (America and India) co-exist simultaneously on the earth?” (p. 40)

Yohannan said he began to understand that the spiritual values of most Western believers were misplaced and that an “awesome judgment” hung over the US as a result. This says the wicked greedy hypocrite who steals and corrupts the American people out of their hard earned money. The irony goes over his head. God has blessed America because of the love of many in her land for Him, the preaching of the gospel, the contending got the faith, the righteous justice, etc, while India is a wickedly corrupt, greedy and evil pagan country to the core. The contrast escapes him because he is an unsaved wicked hypocrite.

An entire chapter in his book details the difference between the “haves” and “have nots” (that is, the Americans as opposed to the Indians). He cites one example of a poor Indian Christian and asks,

"Is it God’s fault that men like Brother Paulose are going hungry? I don’t think so. God has provided more than enough money to meet his needs and all the needs of the Third World. The needed money is in the highly developed nations of the West. North American Christians alone, without much sacrifice, can meet all the needs of the churches in the Third World." (p. 44).

Yohannan’s personal experiences and his anecdotes and illustrations in the book clearly reveal the first basis for his new paradigm. In reality, Yohannan is espousing an economic socialism that promotes a form of equitable distribution of wealth between the “haves” and “have-nots.” And that is well on the way to communism and state wide poverty, as noted in India. He, the wicked, corrupt, diabolical dictator, happens to be the very cause of poverty-laden nations like India. Oh the irony.

Anyone that is saved understands the reasoning for this, very well, crystal clear. He entirely fails to see the reason why America is wealthy, the fact that God has blessed America because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and their allegiance to God's Word over the centuries. It is a nation built upon God's commandments and Biblical principles, one that has had a majority of people professing to be Christian. He is excessively narrow minded, or rather carnal minded (which is the mind of the lost, Rom 8:1-9). neglecting to see the deep paganism that flows through his Indian blood, and that if it weren't for North American missionaries, modern India probably would've maybe never even had the Gospel. Indian is a wicked heathen nation, full of paganism, corruption, scandals, and fraud, and so its no surprise that this is who Yohannan truly is.

So on the one hand he begs for money, while on the other hand he castigates them for having money. Just. Wow. A seriously deluded and seduced evil and hypocritical man, of which scripture says,

"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." (2 Tim 3:13).

Truly, indeed, he is,

"Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith." (2 Tim 3:8-9).

He is of corrupt mind, a reprobate concerning the faith.

Besides the false social "gospel" of money and false pretence of helping those in poverty, there are many other corrupted elements to Yohannan's false gospel. There is process salvation, no Biblical repentance, no true supernatural superdramatic conversions, no genuine new birth experiences taking place because the gospel is throughly corrupted, a works-type of gospel.

He claims on his website that his organizations have been "the salvation of untold millions." Quite the opposite is in fact the truth. He has been the cause of making millions "twofold more the child of hell than [himself]." (Matt 23:15).

7. Yohannan has no Biblical testimony of true conversion.

Of course this comes as no surprise since we've established already he is surely a false teacher, a wolf in sheep's clothing, and a Judas always looking for another 30 pieces of silver to line his pocket and buy some more property. That which is presented and portrayed on his website as “salvation” is unscriptural and based upon signs and wonders (https://www.gfa.org/about/kpyohannan/). The Word of God isn’t his authority and guide, but visions and voices, while the Bible is clear you can’t be saved without Scripture and obeying the Gospel (Rom 10:13-17; 1 Cor 1:21; 1 Pet 1:23-25; 4:16; 2 Th 1:8), which is a clear moment of time where repentance is exercised of sin/ self/ stuff/ people with turning to God and believing in the Lord Jesus Christ (Lk 13:23-30; 14:25-15:32; Mk 8:34-38; 10:21-30; Ac 2:42; 3:19; 26:20). What he attempts to depict as his “salvation” is neither “salvation” or “discipleship”—it’s just “another gospel” and “another spirit” (2 Cor 11:4) that came to him.

“To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” (Is 8:20).

8. There are other serious concerns that further reflect a fleshly (carnal) estate, which is an unsaved estate.

For instance, the frequent boostings of all his accomplishments and awards, some of which have come from unscriptural and heretical organizations, such as his “Fatherhood Award” from “Christian Men's Network's Global Fatherhood Initiative,” and “Individual Achievement in International Broadcasting award in 2003” from the exceedingly heretical National Religious Broadcasters Association (NRB), and “For his faithful service to the Body of Christ, Yohannan was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Hindustan Bible College in Chennai, India,” which is a terribly compromised and heretical school.

Every award and major accomplishment is documented on his website. This plainly demonstrates that Yohannan glories after the “pride of life” and “lusts of the flesh” (1 Jn 2:16) which “is not of the Father, but is of the world.” (1 Jn 2:16b). But Scripture is clear that those who live after the pride of life, selfish glory, and the flesh are unregenerate (1 Jn 2:15-17; Rom 2:29; Lk 1:51; Jn 16:13-14; 17:10; 1 Cor 1:26-31; 3:18-23; 2 Cor 5:15; 10:13-18; 11:12-13, 18, 30; 12:1-12; Gal 6:14; 1 Th 2:4-6; Jer 17:5-8). When someone is converted, he removes himself from the spotlight, even as the apostle Paul did (Acts 9). But Yohannan’s life is all about the spotlight. And money.

9. In conclusion, no one should be feeding corruption and wicked heresy.

It makes Christians look exceedingly unwise and foolish for believing and promoting dangerous theories and corrupt fraudulent practices and wolves in sheep's clothing. It also paints a big bullseye on their back as simple minded “believers.” Meaning no discernment.

“The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going. . . . The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.” (Pr 14:15, 18)

The simple aren’t regenerate people (Ps 19:7; Pr 1:20-31; Rom 16:18) which is why they follow after error, false teachings and false teachers. Which is why they give their money and time and resources to false teachers and wolves in sheep's clothing. They are simple, which also means lacking true spiritual discernment (cf. 1 Cor 2:14-15).

I am happy to be called a fool for Christ and to be mocked for following His precepts, but I would not like to be a fool for wolves like Mr. Yohannan.

He is a fulfillment of the false teacher warned of in Scripture, such as Matt 7:15-20; Rom 16:17-18; Phil 3:18-19; 1 Tim 4:1-2; 2 Tim 4:3-4; Gal 2:4-5; etc. He‘s a deceptive and unregenerate false witness and liar (Rev 21:8, 27), that “serve[s] not our Lord Jesus Christ, but [his] own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive[s] the hearts of the simple.” (Rom 16:18).

God the Son doesn't warn in vain,

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." (Matt 7:15)

Will you continue to feed these wolves, which are rampant in evangelicalism and mainstream Christianity?

“Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.” (2 Ch 19:2b)

Solution?

  1. Stop feeding these ungodly wolves if you are guilty of sponsoring them. God's wrath is upon you (2 Ch 19:2). Repent unto God for ever giving to further this man's heresy and evil. Examine yourself if you are truly in the faith (2 Cor 13:5), for I fear many may very well not be. All that give financially or their time or other resources to this unscriptural, heretical and corrupt organization will be held accountable to God for this.

  2. Have K.P. Yohannan arrested and prosecuted, as well as Danny Yohannan, David Carroll, John Beers, David Mains, Francis Chan, Chuck Zink, Bob Felder and all other leaders and board members of GFA who are accessories to his scam.

  3. Sell the $45 million headquarters building and 80 suburban homes at the Gospel For Asia / GFA World compound in Texas, the $70 million engineering college, the $19 million rubber plantation, the professional soccer team in India and all other Gospel For Asia / GFA World assets in the world, and return the proceeds, as well as the money in all K.P. Yohannan-controlled bank accounts and car trunks, to their donors.

  4. Manifest his folly to all men (2 Tim 3:9). Mark him and avoid him (Rom 16:17). We are not to be partakers with people such as K.P. Yohannan (Eph 5:7, 11), who “walk . . . as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind” (Eph 4:17) who are “children of disobedience” under “the wrath of God” (Eph 5:6)

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.” (Rom 16:17-18)
