Elon Musk, as we know, is the multi-billionaire founder, CEO and chief engineer of SpaceX; angel investor, CEO and product architect of Tesla, Inc.; founder of The Boring Company; co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI; president of the philanthropic Musk Foundation and now owner and CEO of Twitter, Inc. So coming on to the Babylon Bee for an interview was a big deal to the Babylon Bee. But what happened in this interview last year is so appalling and heretical, it should cause every evangelical to crawl into a hole and be utterly ashamed and dismayed to be associated to any degree with such apostasy, even if just by name. Unfortunately, that will probably never happen; most are to busy celebrating Musks “conversion.” This interview is a precise illustration and end product of the apostasy I warn of and present in evangelicalism today, in at least 99% of said churches, and, sadly, in much of fundamentalism as well. The whole of evangelicalism is completely leavened (1 Cor 5:6; Gal 5:9)— one big tree with many demonic birds perched in its branches (Matt 13:31-33).
Regardless of what popular “evangelical” was running the interview, its unlikely it would have ended any different. Though the Bee claims to be “a Christian organization, a ministry,” they didn’t only fail to preach the truth and the true gospel, but rather affirmed Musk’s false view of God and the Bible, which comes from a mixture of Dutch Reformed, Anglican education, and humanism.
The first major red flag in the Bee’s performance was the cheesy background music put in place to enhance the emotional experience of the set and make what was said come across as more profound. This popular move is the tactic of seeker friendly churches to make elementary and heretical sermons bing about an emotional reaction.
For the 10th and final question, the Bee asks,
“Wondering if you can do us a quick solid and accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour?”
Which was followed by some giggling. Whether or not it was supposed to be presented as a “joke,” an attempt to disarm Musk, it was never preceded or proceeded with a clear presentation of the gospel, which includes describing man’s sinful and wicked condition and God’s righteous justice and what the gospel is all about: how we can be saved through the shedding of blood, and suffering of death, burial and resurrection of the incarnate Son of God for our sins. Is life and eternal life or eternal damnation just a joke?! This followed with:
“Personal Lord and Saviour, quick prayer?” and raucous laughter again.
Wouldn’t even the smallest measure of human compassion, to say nothing of Christian love, require that these men warn Musk of God’s inconceivably terrible, eternal, and unbearable wrath, which quickly and with absolute certainty will fall upon him, the judgment of the all-powerful God, whom he has as his enemy, from whose hand none can hope to escape? As we read in Ps 50:22,
“Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.”
But not one mention. Not even once. Only the most superficial explanation is heard, if you can call it even that. Nothing about Musks sinful condition and unjust estate before God, and his need to fear the Lord with trembling and repent.
Nothing about repentance of his sin, self and stuff, all massive and obvious idols in his life (and the lives of all unsaved people, some just to a greater degree) and his urgent need to turn from these idols unto the living God to love Him and to serve Him by losing your life and surrendering to the Lord Jesus Christ (Lk 14:25–15:32). Certainly nothing like what Jesus said to the lost rich young ruler:
“Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.” (Mk 10:21).
Musk goes on to articulate his view of Jesus as a good teacher and the Bible containing good principles, to which the Bee credits as "60-70%" and calls it a win, to much applause.
“We got em boys! We did it!”
They allegedly "won" Musk to Jesus. Wow. Are you kidding me! U.n.b.e.l.i.e.v.a.b.l.e. This proclamation of “salvation,” — not by Musk mind you — by these ungodly Babylonians, is a nauseating display of cheap lascivious grace. There was no actual explanation anywhere of the true Gospel by this alleged “Christian Outreach” organization. There is no detailed explanation of the gospel and how to be saved, of eternal hell fire coming his way, of his wickedness before a Thrice Holy God, of his awful sinful, adulterous, blasphemous life of trying to usurp God from His Throne, of his need to repent, to turn, of his sins, of his love for riches and power, of himself and turn wholeheartedly from all sinful and adulterous behaviour and lusts, to God by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His gospel, His substituonary death and shedding of blood for Musks sins. It’s a disgusting and utter disgrace and folly, and “their folly shall be manifest unto all men,” (2 Tim 3:9).
The Babylonians even positively confirmed his Anglican baptism as a baby. Yikes. Musks terribly corrupted and blasphemous views of Scripture and Jesus continues after his “profession.” Or should we call it a "decision"? Jesus apparently turned water into alcohol to keep the party going. Major sacrilege happening. Much laughter of course because that is what keeps "evangelicals" rowing, for how else would we win the lost to Jesus if we didn't have laughter. Everything is laughed off. It’s pure evil and folly, for indeed "the foolishness of fools is folly" (Pr 14:24b) and "the folly of fools is deceit." (Pr 14:8b).
But one day soon they won't be laughing, and God will be the one doing the laughing (Pr 1:20-31),
"Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof." (Pr 1:24-30)
This truth-denial and perversion by the Bee’s was the pattern set from the get-go. During the first half, Musk scoffed, mocked and laughed at the truth of Noah’s Ark: “incestuously . . . how’s this work?” — received with hearty laughter by the Bee Team, which was followed by, “and did he hate the dinosaurs, . . . and the incest, I don’t get it.” They should’ve quoted 2 Pet 3:3-7 but ZERO contending or standing for truth or for God by these spiritual profane adulterers. No Biblical explanation for the mockery by Musk. But laugh they could, because life is all about humour and they certainly didn’t want to be seen as any different than the world. They aren’t different, so that part is true.
At no point during Musks comments on government did they proclaim what the Bible says.
Musk invoked evolutionism, the earth is “4 billion yrs old,” sun diminishing life “half billion years” from now, “America 1.4 billion yrs old,” and the evolution of man. There was no opposition to this wickedness by these so-called "Christians," even though evolution is a means of attacking God as Creator. Maybe these heretics believe in evolution as well, or certainly don't see it as an issue, considering that more than ever evangelicals and even some professing fundamentalists are believing in this apostasy. The Bible however doesn't read evolution, regardless of how some prominent evangelicals are working at making evolution acceptable to their listeners. The Word of God emphasizes God as Creator. God Himself elevates His work of creation. He desires recognition and glory for what He did and then continues to do in sustaining the creation. Believing in Him as Creator is one vital aspect of believing in Him. In other words, denying His creation means you don't believe in Him. The Bible opens (Gen 1:1) and closes with God creating (Rev 21:1). We see this all over the the Bible (including Psalms, Proverbs, etc).
In one of the questions asked at the end, Musk reveals his spite for God claiming God’s judgement on Sodom and Gomorrah as “yikes … whoa, that’s pretty vengeful in the Old Testament,” and indicating God was different under the OT, then now. That seems to be a common argument and problem for evil God-rejectors as they attempt to appease their evil conscience, by storing up wrath against the day of wrath (Rom 2:1-5), as if their false, hypocritical and wicked judgment will hold any water! Musk is a God rejector in every form of the word and doesn’t even realize he contradicts himself with the ridiculous numbers he quotes (concerning evolution, above). He should have been corrected repeatedly with Biblical reproof, instead of snowflake men tolerating his wicked and God rejecting beliefs. But only crickets and laughter.
Based upon the silence, good chance these men embrace some of the same heresies. They certainly don't stand on the truth of Gods Word, but are as "Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever." (Ju 1:13).
They also deny God in other ways, such as rejecting righteousness, holiness and godliness that occurs in the saint at the new birth and keeps growing (Ti 2:11-14). Their series of questions at the end such as “Have you met Christian rapper Carmen”? and “Whisky or beer?” and “Cigars or Pipes?” and “Whose concert do you go to see (any band in history)?” (“Rolling Stones,” agreed to by the Bee as a “good pick”) — kinda gives it away that such things aren’t actually occurring in their lives. These blasphemous and adulterous (Jam 4:4) hypocrites (Matt 23) ought to give careful heed to Pr 13:13, “Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed” and stop pretending to be something they’re not.
Elon Musk is NOT saved. He did NOT get saved. All he did was make a terribly mockery of the Bible, of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the gospel of Christ. And so did the men from the Babylon Bee. Musk is a scorner and scoffer and fool, all of which are very clearly unsaved in scripture. What a terrible disgrace in their "gospel" presentation and mockery and then placating the truth and perverting it in horrible ways worse than genocidal murder on a scale of bad! Absolutely awful. "Damnable heresies" of "false teachers" (2 Pet 2:1). Elon Musk, who comes from a evil and wicked home (his own admission), and a broken home
This is todays “evangelicalism,” nauseating and vomit to the core that God spews out of His mouth and into the lake of fire (Rev 3:14-18). Though they refer to themselves as “Baptist” at one point, vast majority of Baptists do fall into the same apostate category as “evangelicalism.” This is the problem with our nations, in a nutshell. Massive apostasy; the promotion of a “another Jesus” and “another gospel” with “another spirit” (2 Cor 11:4).
“Ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ju 1:4).
The only ministry these “deceitful workers” fall under is the one that caters to “Satan” who “himself is transformed into an angel of light.” (2 Cor 11:12-15). No wonder men blaspheme the Name of God (Rom 2:24), as Musk did.
Elon Musk if you are reading here, I would encourage you to take careful heed to the following words of God penned by Jude, that reflect you to precision, the ungodly:
"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage." (Jude 1:14-16)
If you are an evangelical reading here, I would reprove you for being part of a heretical and apostate system, and for you to prove your so-called salvation, as it appears you have been deceived and seduced and believed a lie, which will evidence itself by separation, a hated and despised doctrine amongst "evangelicals" (further proving unregeneracy):
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." (2 Cor 6:14-18)
