Alarm to the Unconverted

Updated: Apr 7, 2023

To the Neo-Evangelical.

That includes the very vast majority of evangelical-type churches/ denominations, including the denominations of EBMC, EMC.

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? . . . But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.” (Lk 6:46,49).
“He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.” (Jn 14:24).
They “turn the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and deny the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ju 1:4).

To the Religious.

That includes most Protestant denominations, Catholicism, SDA, Mennonite sects such as Sommerfelder, Old Colony, etc.

“Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. . . . Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” (Mk 7:6, 9).
“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.” (Matt 23:27-28)

To the Cult Followers.

That includes Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons (LDS), Roman Catholics, some Mennonite sects, etc.

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;" (1 Tim 4:1)
"Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was." (2 Tim 3:8-9)

To the Professing Believer with a Dead Faith.

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matt 7:21)
“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. . . . But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” (Jam 2:19-20, 26).
“They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.” (Ti 1:16).
“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” (2 Tim 3:5).

To the Pastors that Run Their Churches like Diotrephes and Cast Out Those Who Stand for the Truth and Obey the Word of God.

“I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church. Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God [i.e. is lost].” (3 Jn 1:9-11).

To False Teachers, and Those that Follow Them.

“These also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.” (2 Tim 3:8b-9).
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.” (2 Pet 2:1-2).

To the Simple Minded. The simple minded are those by definition, naive, gullible, and lacking discernment.

“The simple believeth every word; but the prudent looketh well to his going. . . . The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.” (Pr 14:15,18).
“How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.” (Pr 1:22-23).
“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.” (Ps 19:7).
“O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.” (Pr 8:5).

To Those Who Love Money and Riches.

“The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” (Lk 12:16-21).
“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (1 Tim 6:10).
“How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” (Lk 18:24-25).

To Those Who Love the World and the Things of the World.

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. ... And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” (1 Jn 2:15-17).
“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” (Jam 4:4).
“And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.” (Lk 8:14).

The Cure.

“Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. . . . Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” (Is 55:1, 6-7).
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matt 7:13-14).
"And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." (Lk 5:31-32)
