The Four Kingdoms of the Image of Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream
The Old Testament (OT) book of Daniel was written by the prophet of the same name, Daniel, a sixth-century Jew who, along with many other Israelites had been taken captive by the Babylonians. Daniel put the book together in its final and canonical form c. 530 BC, after a long career of governmental service during the reign of the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar in the 590s to the rise of Cyrus the Great in the 530s.
