James White is a Heretic and Liar, and His Book, “The King James only Controversy,” is Fiction

Updated: Apr 16, 2023

The following is an introduction. There is more to come. The importance of getting this out sooner than latter compels me to publish it before completion. Wolves in sheep's clothing like James White are doing the work of Satan and destroying many lives—Satans specific MO, so the idea, as always, is to diminish the amount of damage caused by the false teacher and to be of Biblical help to those who entertain heretics like White (Pr 31:8-9), pulling down the strongholds of this heresy in their minds.

"Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy." (Pr 31:8-9)

Ultimately my chief motivation is obedience to the Word of God (Ju 1:3; Rom 16:17), which is compelled by love for my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (Jn 14:23-24; 1 Jn 2:3-5; 5:2-3).

The author of the work in question, James R. White, is a Reformed Calvinist, the director of the heretical and blasphemous Alpha and Omega Ministries, an “internet apologist” and debater (or belittler or liar or manipulator, more like it). White was educated at Southern Baptist Grand Canyon University and at Fuller Theological Seminary, both hotbeds for serious neo-evangelicalism compromise, worldliness and heresy. He is the author of over twenty religious books. He states that the purpose of this work in question is “a corrective to the ongoing (if dwindling) KJVO movement” and “an introduction to the history and background of the biblical text” (p. 19). Nothing could be further from the truth. James White is a greatly deceived man and undoubtedly one that yet remains in his old natural unregenerate estate, representative of one who Jesus warned of in Matt 7:15,

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."

It is of this sort that will one day proclaim to Christ,

”Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matt 7:22-23)

Almost everything White writes in the book “The King James Only Controversy“ (KJOC) is a lie including “the” and “a”— so he is purposefully searing his conscience and bearing false witness to the truth. He lies about the modern Bible perversions, about the Critical Text and about the King James Bible. The entire book is flooded with lies, scepticism, unbelief, manipulation, and slander. It does not surprise me to see him parroting the tired and unBiblical theories of the undependable and heretical textual critics, for he has been steeped in this evil man-centred philosophy by education.

It’s a Satanic work two-fold: (1) White embraces a position of errancy concerning Scripture, a position very common amongst evangelicals and Reformed Calvinists; and (2) White aims his gun not at the Bible corrupters but at men who are attempting to defend God’s Word against the onslaught of apostasy.

More than deceived, James White is a deceiver and a liar himself, of the kind we are warned of in 2 Tim 3:13,

“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”

He lies about the modern Bible perversions, about the Critical Text and about the King James Bible. In a nutshell, he is guilty of calling “good evil and evil good” (Is 5:20).

Let us now consider briefly some of the biggest problems with James White.

1. The Biggest Issue with Whites Particular Teaching about Scripture Includes the Following.

(a) He dishonours God, the Author of Holy Writ, by contradicting what God said about His preservation of scripture — that makes Him a liar.

(b) He teaches and influences people away from a biblical position on the preservation of scripture, which leaves those people less certain, more easily swayed by false teaching and practice, and less faithful.

(c) He revises a huge portion of history in order to justify his doctrinal position and practice. That reminds us of what group of people today, who are busy rewriting history? Yes, he is of the same precise behaviour and cloth as those wicked left-winged-liberals.

(d) He relegates the Bible to an unsettled position, open to further and further change, which results in a transference of human authority over scripture and diminished in its authority. White becomes the enabler of doubt and weakness, until it reaches apostasy, as we see amongst most Reformed Calvinists. He also perverts a biblical apologetic, elevating external, human documentation above the Word of God. He claims the real spiritual battle is accomplished through spouting off manuscript evidence framed in the rules of textual criticism. God is not glorified by that. He claims that the “Bible is the Word of God” but in reality has no clue as to which Bible it is and where it’s at. He claims to believe in the “inerrancy of Scripture,” but in reality has no clue where “inerrant Scripture” is. He claims that the TR MSS has minute differences only, whereas factually in truth his Vatican and Sinai MSS have thousands of differences (even between themselves as well). In the Gospels alone, they differ in over 3,000 significant places.

Anyone who is truly saved wouldn’t show the Bible this kind of disrespect, in adding or taking away from God’s Holy Word which He has magnified above all His name (Ps. 138:2).

2. White Rejects a Pure Bible and the Preservation of God’s Word.

White embraces a position of errancy concerning the Word of God, a position very common amongst evangelicals and Reformed Calvinists. He rejects the Biblical doctrine of preservation, because its impossible to fit his heretical position of textual criticism and modern versions into the doctrine. So he denies and rejects it, further proving his wolf-like nature.

The Bible teaches a pure Bible. God is pure and He has a pure Bible. His Word teaches its own preservation for the use of God’s people, as God has promised, upon which the KJV-only position is based (as a Translation from the preserved Hebrew Masoretic and Greek Received Text) as opposed to the modern perversion position endorsed by White. Among other verses, Ps. 12:6-7; 33:11; 78:1-7; 100:5; 105:8; 111:7-8, 117:2; 119:89, 111, 152, 160; Is. 40:8; 59:21; Matt. 5:18; 24:35; Lk. 16:17; 21:33; Jn. 10:35; 12:47-48; and 1 Pet. 1:23-25, teach the Biblical doctrine of preservation. The verbally, plenarily inspired Bible teaches its own verbal, plenary preservation. Furthermore, these words would be in use among God’s people (Is. 59:21), so that they can live by all of them (Matt. 4:4). God leads His saints to accept true readings and reject the false (Jn. 17:6-8, 17-20), which means James White is not a saint. Instead of believing these passages, White perverts and wrests many of these Scriptures into some foreign meaning, which is an “error of the wicked“ (2 Pet 3:16-17) — further proving his wolf nature.

Contrary to what he writes, Bible-believing born-again KJV-only people begin with the truths of Biblical inspiration and preservation, and use facts such as the non-existence of the minority critical text for many centuries of Christian history, the faulty and fatalistic naturalistic assumptions that generally underlie the Critical Text (CT), and its heretical origin and propagation, to create a strong critique, and expound the genuine theological, historical, and manuscript-based evidence for the traditional text of Scripture. They demonstrate that the KJV is the Bible based on the true original language texts of Scripture and generally received by God’s people and churches, and consequently must be, in accord with God’s promises, the Word of God for the English-speaking world today. This group of advocates for the Authorized Version also oppose the doctrines and methods of Ruckmanism, as well as the modernistic text, with sound Biblical exegesis and scholarship. Moreover, evaluation of historical data with the presupposition of faith inevitably leads to a position in favour of the TR and a rejection of the CT.

3. Some of the Terrible Errors, Lies, and Slanders in The King James Only Controversy.

I have read enough to discern the dishonesty of White, and the massive amount of logical fallacies he props up in this seriously misguided book in attempt to buttress a position built upon sand. Worse, everything about White’s position dishonours God and glorifies doubt. White is an abomination to God because lying is an abomination to Him. On multiple fronts, he proves to be an abominable man.

“These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, . . . A false witness that speaketh lies,” (Pr 6:16-19).

This horrid and poisonous book is filled with lies, scepticism, unbelief, manipulation, and slander. Unbelievably, many, many, Reformed Calvinists encourage the reading of it, a book that is blasphemous to God.

In his book, White attempts to build the case against the King James superiority and for the modern texts. On p. 129 he writes:

"As long as we allow the defender of the AV to determine the grounds of the argument by assuming the KJV to be the standard of all others, we will get absolutely nowhere."

This summarizes his plan of attack. White attempts to remove the issues of preservation, doctrine, and conviction from the arsenal of the King James defenders. Very fitting indeed for the work of the enemy.

In his “Introduction” White hints what his modus operandi will be. He will caricature support for the KJV by primarily attacking the extreme edge, which is in fact those who hold to an unbiblical position themselves. Just pick up, he says,

“Peter Ruckman’s Bible Believers Bulletin . . . Barry Burton’s Let’s Weigh the Evidence, Gail Riplinger’s New Age Bible Versions, or William Grady’s Final Authority” (p. 15).

Like I said, extremes, men and women who hold actual unbiblical positions. He does not yet reveal that he will lump all KJV supporters (and even some who are not supporters!) into his overarching King James Only categories, but it is coming.

He claims,

“Responsibility must be laid at the door of the KJV Only camp for the destruction of many Christian churches” (p. 16)

Just. Wow. This is calling good evil and evil good. What an incredible lie coming from the mouth of a reformed Calvinist who have not only historically destroyed innumerable churches, but also entire nations and persecuted and murdered who knows how many for opposing their diabolical attitudes and in many cases, beliefs. So the very opposite is true in fact.

What White does with this poor book devoid of Biblical exegesis and filled with logical fallacies and falsehoods and argued mostly upon the basis of Ruckmanism (which I vehemently reject as do vast majority of others who embrace the KJV as the inspired and preserved Word of God for the English language) is quite the opposite of what his supporters are saying. It’s not clarity but confusion. Not assurance but doubt. How can there be clarity and assurance of “what God said through His Word” when the “Word” he defends has large portions missing and much additions to it, is undermined and changed, all of which transgresses Rev. 22:18-19, and when he denies a pure Biblical text and preservation of Scripture? To embrace a corrupted text and its offspring and reject the true text of God is terrible enough on it’s own but then to also propagate these poisonous errors is frightful beyond words. All who trifle with the contents of Gods Word will surely be condemned. I would hate to be in his shoes or in the shoes of his man-centred supporters when they stand before Almighty God one day.

Again, the Bible teaches its own preservation for the use of God’s people, as God has promised, upon which the KJV-only position is based. The following passages amongst others, teach the Biblical doctrine of preservation: Ps. 12:6-7; 33:11; 78:1-7; 100:5; 105:8; 111:7-8, 117:2; 119:89, 111, 152, 160; Is. 40:8; 59:21; Matt. 5:18; 24:35; Lk. 16:17; 21:33; Jn. 10:35; 12:47-48; and 1 Pet. 1:23-25. The verbally, plenarily inspired Bible teaches its own verbal, plenary preservation. Furthermore, these words would be in use among God’s people (Is. 59:21), so that they can live by all of them (Matt. 4:4). God leads His saints to accept true readings and reject the false (Jn. 17:6-8, 17-20).

The entire book is strange at best. The world of Bible translation is becoming increasingly, bewilderingly perverse, yet James White aims his gun not at the Bible corrupters but at men who are attempting to defend God’s Word against this onslaught of apostasy. Every passing year brings to light English Bible versions more corrupt than their predecessors, bringing the total to hundreds, in some estimations greater than 500. This is on the commercial side of Bible translations, yet the corruption is also evident in the field of professional missionary translation. The UBS, working hand in hand with the Roman Catholic Church, have almost completely given up on “formal equivalency” translation and have dedicated their vast resources to the production of paraphrase-type Bibles created with the presumptuous dynamic equivalency method of translation. The same is true for Wycliffe Bible Translators. All these texts are also based upon the heretical Critical Text.

So both text and translation methodology underlying modern English perversions are equally corrupt and blasphemous.

White sounds no warning of these matters, though. His readers are given the impression that the onslaught of modernism in the field of Bible texts and translations is a matter of very minor consequence compared with the great evil of believing God has preserved His inspired Word verbally in the Received Text and that the Received Text translations which have gone to the ends of the earth during the past five centuries of great missionary endeavour are a product of this and thus solely can be referred to as the Word of God. Consider the following amazing statement in the Foreword to White’s book, written by Mike Baird, a professor at the Southern Baptist-aligned Grand Canyon University:

“In this age of uncertainty, the last thing we need is the suspicion that the Word of God is somehow faulty and misleading. Yet many, even within Christendom, have set about to undermine the authority of Scripture. This happens in places of higher criticism, but it also happens in places where we are least suspecting. James White, in The King James Only Controversy, deals with this sense of uncertainty in God’s Word promoted by those who defend the KJV as the only reliable Bible” (p. i).

I shake my head at the strangeness of this statement. How in the world does the defense of a pure Scripture text create uncertainty in God’s Word? How in the world can the defense of a pure Bible be compared with the heresy of higher criticism? The modern version defender allows a man to say the Scriptures were verbally inspired and perfect when they were first written, but he goes ballistic when he hears a man say that he has a Bible in his hands today that has been preserved by God. He charges such a man with heresy. He labels him a troublemaker, and an ignoramus, to boot. Unbelievable but so revealing of the unsaved counterfeit nature of these charlatans. No discernment because the Holy Spirit is the provider of discernment.

The proper nomenclature for the book should’ve been "The Ruckman-Riplinger Controversy," since White paints the entire King James Bible defence movement with the brush of these two individuals.

White and his defenders have attempted to give the book the appearance of being unemotional, objective, and scholarly in its approach to the topic of Bible texts and versions. In reality, it is a blasphemous attack on God's Word that He has preserved (the Hebrew Masoretic and Greek Received text) and a vicious slander upon those who are defenders of the King James Bible and the Received Text which underlies the KJV and other great Reformation-era Bibles. He implies throughout that every KJV defender is either a raving lunatic or an ignorant extremist. He ignores or passes over slightly, even flippantly, the great issues of the KJV defence, focusing, instead, upon the most indefensible, asinine representations. This is yet another feature of his wolf character.

The KJOC is replete with lies and bearing false witness to the truth, arguing ungodly logical fallacies (which Reformed Calvinists seem to master) such as straw man and red herrings, and its smokescreen apologetics at its best. This is serious, because many men who read White’s book will become severely biased against “King James Onlyism” and will never make the effort to read for themselves the many important materials written in defense of the TR and the KJV.

There is also the absence of exegesis in Whites book. Contrary to Whites book and position, people that defend the KJV-only position and refute the modern perversions, exposit Scripture for their position. White doesn’t. It is an unscriptural book on this basis alone. The man who assents to the inspiration of the Bible could only, in light of the usage of the traditional Scripture text through the centuries, reject the KJV for the critical text and modern versions based upon it, were he to demonstrate that no genuine promises for verbal preservation or the continued use of God’s revelation among His people were found in the Bible. This would constitute a tremendously effective device to lead those who tremble at the word of the Lord to lay down their arms wielded in the defence of the KJV, were it possible. One would naturally suppose that such a demonstration, especially from one like James White who mentally assents to the inerrancy of Scripture (i.e. gives lip service to it), would take a prominent place in his book against the King James only position. However, no such exegesis of relevant passages appears in White’s book. White’s book is devoid of exegesis, which is the only thing that could turn those who think Biblically from that God-honouring “logic of faith” that leads one to believe in the preservation of the KJV. The closest White comes is a brief statement about Ps. 12:6-7 on page 243. Even here no real attempt at exegesis is found.

Instead of attacking Gods Word, men like James White should give heed to God’s declaration that “whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed” (Pr. 13:13). It is thus unsurprising that reformed calvinists churches are for the most part bastions of ungodliness, worldliness and false doctrine. “A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.” (1 Cor 5:6; Gal 5:9).

4. White is an Apostate and Heretic for Many Reasons Including the Fact he Endorses Apostates and Heretics.

Why would James White choose to have an ungodly infidel such as Bruce Metzger endorse his book? Another endorser is D.A. Carson, who adopts NT Textual Criticism and source criticism and comes to heretical conclusions—and has written his own book against the defence of the KJV. Carson also embraces the heretical division of doctrine into levels of importance (which is a subtle form of rebellion against God), supports inclusive language Bible translations and holds the heresy of redaction criticism of the Gospels, claiming that we have only the ipissima vox Jesu, the authentic VOICE of Jesus, rather than imissima verba Jesus, the authentic WORDS of Jesus (An Introduction to the New Testament, p. 44). He rejects both the inspiration and preservation of Scripture, but undiscerning and apostate White has no issues with that. It is natural that those who oppose Biblical inspiration deny the doctrine of preservation. If they don't think God's Word is inspired, then it wasn't preserved, and then they aren't sure what it means. Capitulation in any of these areas is a death knell and entirely conclusive of a wolf in sheep‘s clothing.

White also fellowships and builds friendships with apostates such as the notorious New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) "Apostle" Dr. Michael Brown. Yikes. I guess birds of a feather flock together. What Amos 3:3 says.

5. White Exudes Unbridled Pride and Arrogance.

When I watch him debate or argue his positions and against his opponents, I am disgusted to the core. His mockery and belittling attitude fits Calvinism to the core, right to its foundation with John Calvin, but it’s evil, mimicking the behaviour of Satan.

His pride produces divisiveness. In the introduction White claims that the Bible version controversy is a non-issue and that those who stand for the KJV are dangerous controversialists:

"The King James Only controversy, by its very nature, brings disruption and contention right into the pews of the local Christian church. KJV Only advocates due to the nature of their beliefs, are often disruptive of the fellowship in churches feeling that their message of God's one true Bible needs to be heard by all" (White, p. iv).

This characterization of the issue and the participants is false and must be refuted. Division is caused by those who leave a once held position. Since the King James Bible was the Bible commonly used in most Bible-believing churches for most of the 17th, 18th, 19th, and early 20th century, its defenders are not the ones who left a once held position. Yet White writes, "Responsibility must be laid at the door of the KJV Only camp for the destruction of many Christian churches" (p. iv). Why? The second half of the 20th century has seen an explosion of new Bibles and editions of the Greek New Testament. Each one attempts to gain acceptance in accuracy and readability. Each one inspires its champions. Each one attempts to gain acceptance in Bible-believing Christian circles. When a pastor or a professor or a common Christian attempts to ward off the advertising and pressures to accept the new "wonder Bible" he is attacked as being ignorant, bound to tradition, and belligerent. It is James White and his crowd who are divisive and dangerous, by seeking to draw God's people away from the authority of one preserved Bible to a concept Bible scattered among all of the texts and versions. These are the false professors Jesus warned of in Matt 7:26-27, who have built their house upon sand.

Rom. 16:17 is precisely reflective of false teachers like White:

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”

6. Whites Other Heresy, and More Lies.

(a) Embracing Calvinism requires embracing the TULIP, and that is embracing heresy. I cover this in some detail here: "Trampling Calvinism’s TULIP." Not only do Calvinists like White corrupt the gospel, they also pervert the character of God and the words of God found in the Word of God.

One example of the later, White redefines the meaning of "all men" in 1 Tim 2:4 to fit his doctrine.

“It is perfectly consistent with the immediate and broader context of Paul’s writings to recognize this use of “all men” in a generic fashion . . . as in . . . all kinds of men” (White, The Potter’s Freedom, p. 141).

While it is certainly true that Christ came for “all kinds of men,” the scripture defines that the ‘all kinds of men’ He came to save are the lost kind. Jesus said “the Son of Man is come to save that which was lost” (Matt 18:11). It does not matter if a man is a Jew, a Gentile, a worker, a leader, a truck driver, a tax collector, or even the President of the United States, if any man is a lost man, Jesus Christ came to save him. Calvinists, however, taking their cue from the evil heretic John Calvin, display a hermeneutics failure of the highest degree and guilty of the highest heresy, by reading into scripture (eisegesis) their theological convictions, since those convictions cannot be found in the text of the Bible. “Let God be true, but every man a liar” (Rom 3:4), and White, like Calvin, and like all other Calvinists, is a liar.

Guess where the liar ends up?

“All liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Rev 21:8b).

Only a serious scoffer, scorner, mocker and unregenerate (I.e. unsaved) heretic that “comes to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” (Matt 7:15) would dare say “any verse in the Bible could possibly be changed based upon new manuscript discoveries.”

(b) The Trinity that White embraces, as outlined in his book The Forgotten Trinity is heresy. Its much more inline with a social construct of the Trinity that the terribly apostate Karl Barth taught and certainly does not reflect the historic, Biblical understanding of the Trinity.

(c) White for years has been claiming that he has earned a doctorate. This is a lie. He bought a doctorate from the degree mill Columbia Evangelical Seminary. His “doctoral dissertation” was the terribly shallow and heretical book just mentioned, The Forgotten Trinity. This book comes nowhere close to the standard of writing that those earning doctorates from accredited schools must exhibit. In other words, James White could not have earned a doctorate at a real school. So when he uses the title “Dr.” he is actually lying, just like when he opens his mouth about many things, including the King James Bible and modern perversions. He has a fake doctorate and that fits his fake faith and profession.

(d) In an interview with Chris Pinto In "Bridge to Babylon," James White says that the spiritual state of textual critics is irrelevant, seeing the role of selecting which text is the authentic scripture is simply scientific, not spiritual:

"If you're saying you need to have a Christian world-view to accurately handle the textual criticism of the Bible, that would be like saying you need to have a Christian world-view to be a heart surgeon."

This nonsensical argument is typical of reformed logical errors. The argument doesn't even make sense. Heart surgery is not anywhere close to the same level of importance as God's Word. There is no correlation. This statement reflects the apostasy of White, not only because of the textual criticism statement but also his lack of understanding of what true conversion is (the second statement). Of course an unsaved man would say this, especially a wolf in sheep‘s clothing.

(e) White is also an amillennialist, which is plain heresy and extremely revealing of this mans false faith. In other words, he is lost, since no truly saved person embraces this heresy. Period. I know, broad generalization of one false doctrine, but never mind all the rest. There is much more to it than that. It’s the Holy Spirit that teaches millennialism and its very clear in Scripture. Crystal clear. It’s found everywhere in Scripture, a major unfilled prophecy. If you reject this and believe the opposite, amillennialism, you prove yourselves to be absent of the indwelling Spirit of truth, Who teaches truth only and not error (1 Jn 2:20-21, 27), not only for rejecting a plain and important truth, but also because you have to allegoricalize the Scriptures to arrive at a belief in amillennialism. So he also reveals himself to be without the ability to literally interpret scripture and rightly divide the Word of truth--also taught by the indwelling Spirit. This sheds light on his heretical eisegesis.

(f) White lies about Islam. He parrots the false and dangerous narrative about many Moslems being moderate. He obviously does not understand Islam and then lies about it. He is a dangerous heretic promoting a dangerous people and ideology.

7. Conclusion.

The very biggest problem that James White has, which produces the truck loads of heresy and blasphemy, is the sad fact that he yet loves himself. He has never denied himself evident by his awful pride. He has never lost his life for Christ and the gospels sake. He has refused to repent and humble himself before Jesus Christ. He is not a born again believer but a wolf in sheep's clothing, an actual hater of God and His Word. These facts are consistently displayed in his writings and debates and on social media.

For instance, to the statement made on twitter, “Will you sign all my Jack Hyles and John R Rice KJV’s? ;-)” James White wrote: “Only if I get to burn them for warmth.” He must have learned that through the writings of Martin Luther, a hero of reformed “theologians” including White, who was always keen on burning books of the Bible that God inspired, as well.

James White is of those who “depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” (1 Tim 4:1).

These are only a few samples. They could be multiplied manifold, and I have planned on doing exactly that. As I said, the rejection of the KJV and embracing of modern perversions is a position built upon sand. It always shifts and crumbles and is consistently grasping at straw man and other logical fallacies easily refuted. It’s a position that goes against the faith of Biblical Christianity. Rather than attacking God’s Word, James White should give heed to God’s declaration that “whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed” (Pr. 13:13).

Anyone who actually loves God and His truth (Jn. 14:15-24; 1 Jn. 2:3-5) who “believe[s] and knows the truth” (1 Tim. 4:3; 1 Jn. 2:20-21, 27; 2 Jn. 1:2) should not give any heed to such a confused, dishonest and manipulative man as James White; and this book of his should be relegated to the bin of poison or at best used as fire starter. The antidote to his toxic life-altering poison is to have faith in God and His Word. According to the truth, that is according to the true Word of God, people (like White) that cast such doubt upon the very Word of God upon the surety and inerrancy of His Word which God “hast magnified . . . above all [His] name” (Ps. 138:2), are “deceitful workers,” who are “transformed as the ministers of righteousness;” but are in fact the servants of Satan, who, “himself is transformed into an angel of light.” (2 Cor. 11:12-15).

James White is a liar and deceiver. He is a master manipulator and we know who is chief of that. He is one that is warned of in Eph 4:14, working by “sleight . . . and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.”

It is exceedingly foolish to recommend this book or any other writings of James White; it doesn't speak well of people that do that. He needs real help. That's what you should be offering if you were in the business of producing faithful wounds of a friend (Pr 27:6). When I say “help” I speak of spiritual help for his unregenerate condition. But the sad truth is, majority of people that read his garbage have never been born again themselves. They are unregenerate just like White, waiting fallaciously and irreducibly upon God to regenerate or monergize them so they can be saved—in alignement with their corrupted Calvinist TULIP doctrine—but that will never happen. This is the reason why they embrace such heresy and reject Gods promise of perfect preservation and place man's authority over Gods authority and cannot discern between “the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error” (1 Jn 4:1) and thus “tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;” (Eph 4:14).

Matt 7:15,

”Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.“

“Intellects” brain storming is death by a 1000 paper cuts. James White is a professional liar and a false witness. Almost every thing he says is a lie and attack against God. He is Bart Ehrman from a reformed perspective. He's got a lot of followers, it seems, or at least a few that make a lot of noise. Your connection with him doesn't speak well of you. He needs help. Real help. That's what you should be offering instead of promoting his blasphemous lies.

What would possibly possess someone to promote a wolf in sheep’s clothing or lies about the Bible?

A spiritual reprobate perhaps, the kind exposed in 2 Tim 3:5-9, that profess to belong to Christ but are unsaved heretics, and

"Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was."
"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" (2 Cor 13:5)
