DO I JUST BLOG AND WRITE ARTICLES?
People ask if this is all I do. The answer to that is no, it’s only a very small portion of my life. Professionally, I own and manage a medical company in northern Canada, providing patient and client health services. I have held or continue to hold teaching certifications in various Advanced Medical Certification programs and other medical and safety courses in various nations of five different continents over a span of twenty years, teaching these programs to a diverse audience of medical professionals, military, and public safety personal. I am also involved with an International Special Forces team that teaches combat and trauma management skills to police and military forces, with extrications of high profile international criminals. My education consists of a Bachelors Degree in Health Science, present student in a Masters program, and multiple diplomas and many certifications completed at various universities, colleges and Institutions worldwide. My family and I are currently Canadian citizens and residents of Australia and have also been residents of various nations Internationally.
Spiritually speaking, concerning Christianity—what I write about, I was convicted almost immediately after my miraculous and dramatic conversion to Christ which took place in November of 2005 while working a contract in the Middle East (My Personal Testimony of Salvation), to defend and contend for the faith, to fight for the faith which involves exposing error and heresies and other leaven destroying the lives of people and churches of Jesus Christ (Ac 17:11; 1 Th 5:21; 2 Tim 4:1-5; Ju 1:3; cf. 1 Cor 5:6; Gal 5:9). This was difficult for me as I’m not one that likes conflict, but it was the Lords desire and will and He strengthened me. It was just the natural consequence of great love for my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and for the truth, which false professing believers do not have, which are the greatest of persecutors, also noted in Gods Word. So they hate the light because their deeds are evil (John 3:19-21). Immediately after my conversion I was persecuted brutally, and not so much in the Middle East amongst the Moslems, but in Canada amongst so-called “Christian’s” who despised and lambasted the truth of Gods Word. One of the first passages I memorized in scripture was 2 Tim 4:3-4. The truth of that passage was literally written in my heart just by simply reading it, the Lord convicting me and guiding me to be a watchman, and a zealous and earnest contender for the faith, and preacher of the gospel. Right out of the starting blocks of my salvation, I was overwhelmingly flooded with error through various schemes of Satan attempting to influence me in wrong ways. But true believers can not go astray, praise the Lord. You can read about it more here (My Testimony After Conversion, Enduring Faithfully in Christ). A few years after my conversion, I endeavoured to spend majority of my time in the Word of God versus the books of man. Since that time I have been reading through on average the Old Testament two times per year, New Testament six times per year, and Proverbs twelve times per year. That requires at least ten chapters per day. For a few years in that span I also read Psalms twelve times per year. This is besides all the other reading and studying of different Books in the Bible, passages and Doctrines in scripture. I do however also love reading other Biblical based books, such as biographies, testimonies, and doctrinal books and non-fiction books, and love history, being an avid student thereof. Linguistics is another personal interest, and I endeavour to learn other languages fluently. All that on top of being presently in Seminary working on a Masters Degree in the Bible, and studying other subjects of personal interest and staying on top of emergency and critical care medicine. In 2014 the Lord led to fulfill the work of an evangelist, which I have undertaken in the Middle East, Australia and Canada. It is my joy and privilege to preach the true Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and “though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” (1 Cor 9:16). An important component of the office of an evangelist, which is a missionary, which is a preacher of the one true gospel, is contending for the faith, for the gospel, for the truth, once delivered unto the saints (Ju 1:3; 2 Tim 4:1-5), which involves revealing the hypocrisy and unsaved estate of false professors.
Like Timothy, I have been charged: “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.” (2 Tim 4:1-5).
I am a husband, father, and evangelist – in that order. My greatest enjoyment is three fold: (1) spending time with the wonderful family the Lord has blessed me with, and (1) reading and studying the Word of God, and (1) preaching the Bible and the gospel of Christ and fighting the good fight of faith.
So, to answer the curiosity, no, I do not just blog or write articles. It’s only a small portion of my life.
